Elizabeth Mahusay: Sales, Leadership, Business Coach

Unlocking Potential, Driving Success And Empowering Individuals Or Organizations To Thrive

Elizabeth Mahusay is a dynamic, high-energy McKinney-based coach who specializes in sales, leadership and business. With a deep passion for helping individuals reach their full potential, she says she brings a unique expertise in thought transformation to her coaching approach.

"Throughout my career, I've successfully trained and mentored thousands of individuals, empowering them to overcome negative thinking patterns and implement proven systems that foster a growth-oriented environment," she adds.

Elizabeth's journey as a coach began during her university years when she participated in the Sun Coast Area Teacher Training Program. As she pursued a master's degree, Elizabeth took on the role of a coach, guiding and mentoring aspiring teachers. Elizabeth discovered the power of nurturing human potential when she served as a dance coach for a competitive dance team, despite her lack of formal dance training.

After the birth of her first son, Elizabeth embarked on a 19-year journey in direct sales with Premier Designs Jewelry, where she built a successful business and team. During this time, Elizabeth's passion for writing also emerged, leading her to author more than 10 Bible studies, two of which were published. In 2020, Elizabeth found her perfect fit with Southwestern Consulting. With her love for people, coaching and the entrepreneurial lifestyle, she joined the ranks of 170-plus coaches serving in 18 countries worldwide.

As a coach with Southwestern Consulting, Elizabeth offers a range of services to her clients. These include one-on-one coaching for individuals at various stages of their sales and leadership journey, from beginners to business owners and C-Suite executives. She also provides fully customizable training solutions in sales skills, sales management, leadership development and professional development. Additionally, as a certified keynote speaker, she delivers trainings and is part of the speakers' bureau.

Elizabeth says she believes that strong, one-on-one communication skills and emotional intelligence are essential for a successful business coach. These qualities, she asserts, enable her to deliver customized and individualized coaching advice, while also being a great listener and skillful questioner. She emphasizes the importance of self-discipline and consistency in day-to-day activities.

“I cultivate my skills through personal study; I love reading and learning,” exclaims Elizabeth. “It's important to me that I'm a practitioner of the things I coach, so I’m actively engaged in building my business, growing my team, and I also have a coach.”

To help clients set and achieve their goals, Elizabeth says she employs a simple, trilateral methodology that focuses on growing revenues, improving team productivity, and scaling the workforce. This tested and proven approach helps clients develop highly skilled, organized and motivated teams.

She says she tailors her coaching approach to meet the unique needs and challenges of individual clients. Through specialized assessments and a thorough understanding of a client's goals, strengths, weaknesses and style, she customizes her support.

In her experience, Elizabeth has found common obstacles or roadblocks that clients face when seeking personal growth, including feeling overwhelmed, struggling with time management, and falling victim to "Shiny Object Syndrome."

“I help clients in overcoming challenges by providing tools and systems for better time management, implementing a proprietary tracking system for critical success factors, and capturing the 'Big Hits' to ensure progress toward long-term visions,” states Elizabeth. “Accountability and building a strong coaching relationship are also key factors in helping clients achieve their goals.”

Elizabeth says she's dedicated to building relationships with business leaders in the community and offers complementary and customized sales and leadership workshops. She also shares her insights and motivation through her Monday Motivation videos and her podcast, "Thinking that Matters."

Elizabeth and her husband for more than 27 years, Fred, have two grown sons. They're active at Cottonwood Creek Church and in the community. Elizabeth's passion for meeting people, connecting with them, and serving others tends to shine through her personal life as well.
