- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Combine flour & sugar. In saucepan bring cocoa, margarine, butter,
water to boil. Stir and pour over flour & sugar, mixing
gradually. When cool, add eggs and vanilla. Put soda in
buttermilk and add to mixture. Pour into greased and floured 9" x 13" pan.
Bake at 350, 30 minutes
Frosting:
1/2 cup margarine
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 box confectioners sugar
6 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup coconut
Combine margarine, cocoa, milk. Bring to boil. Remove from heat.
Add remaining ingredients. Pour over hot cake.
