Clementina Yazdani, owner of Executive Cleaners, loves giving back to her community.
Executive Cleaners has participated in Project Hope CT – a local nonprofit focused on providing skills and support to Connecticut youth. "We have helped with prom dresses," Clementina explains, "collecting, cleaning, pressing, and packaging them for teens who may not otherwise be able to afford them." She and her family have also sponsored a number of local Little League games in town. Other contributions include Yale Cabaret Theatre, Literacy Center of Milford, Community Soup Kitchen, and many more.
In 2019, Clementina assumed the role of Fundraising Chair for the Network of Executive Women of Milford, an organization whose goal is to support women in need – especially those often overlooked in professional climates. In this position, she was able to combine her passion for giving with her long-held reputation for throwing a great party. This past summer, NEW hosted a 45th Anniversary Gala at Tyde at Walnut Beach. The event raised more than $20,000 for the community.
"These are my customers," Clementina explains. "I like and respect them. They really helped support the organization."
Clementina continues her work with NEW while also setting her sights on more personal ways to give back. In memory of her mother, Clementina biked 26 miles in September with Closer to Free, a nonprofit that raises funds for cancer research and care.
"It’s so much better to give than to receive," Clementina affirms.
"These are my customers. I like and respect them. They really helped support the organization."
Born in Italy, Clementina Yazdani moved to New York when she was fourteen, and found her way to Connecticut while working in the insurance industry. She and her family took ownership of Executive Cleaners in 2001, and have since dedicated themselves to supporting the Milford community through a number of philanthropic endeavors.
