Experience the magic: ‘The Nutcracker’

Cullman Ballet Company's holiday favorite returns Dec. 6-7

Can you tell us a little about this year's production of "The Nutcracker?"

This will be the fifth season of "The Nutcracker" story ballet presented by the Cullman Ballet Company, with a community cast of children who audition and adults who volunteer.

The Cullman Ballet Company, the official pre-professional ballet company of The Cullman Ballet Theatre School, has presented many traditional story ballets since the school was established in 1973 and the company in 1995.

The addition of The Performance Center in 2020 made it easier for our first “Nutcracker” performances in 2021. We were determined to present the full story — not a condensed version.

What are you most thankful for this season?

We’re grateful for our supportive faculty and families, as involvement grows year after year.

After performing at Wallace State, this marks our third year at Hartselle High School, a venue with excellent facilities. Securing a suitable stage for ballet isn’t easy, so we appreciate Hartselle’s accommodations.

Whether or not you’ve seen “The Nutcracker,” we invite you to experience our unique choreography and join us for this magical production!

Tickets: Nov. 1, cullmanballettheatre.com | Performances Dec. 6, at 6 p.m. and Dec. 7, at 2:30 p.m. | 256-734-7775
