At the age of 12, Raul Grippaldi was cutting men’s hair in his father’s salon in Argentina. In 1996, he opened Trendz Color & Design Salon in Florham Park.
“I love both the artistic part of it and working with my hands,” he says. “When I came to the U.S., I started doing ladies’ haircuts and color and I always liked how I made people feel.”
The large, comfortable, modern salon is well known for its precision haircuts, beautiful styles, and superior color services, as well as high-quality hair extensions, manicures/pedicures, waxing and facials. One of the newest additions to its amazing team is Patricia Maya, who has a variety of expertise in everything beauty from hair coloring techniques and makeup to waxing, massage and skin treatments. Since beginning her career in the 1980s, she has continued to hone her skills, working with the latest technologies including cutting-edge ingredients in skin care.
Patricia has diplomas in nail technology and aesthetics and has taken numerous private education classes and seminars with international plastic surgeons and skin-care specialists. She is a state board-certified aesthetician and also holds certificates in pre/post-surgery care and treatments, lifting facial points, medical cosmetology techniques, makeup training and more. She loves to share what she’s learned with her many clients.
What is trending is a dedicated private party space to celebrate birthday parties, girls' night out and bridal parties. Trendz Color and Design Salon now offers a dedicated luxurious private space called the Bridal Boutique for brides and their wedding parties to get ready for the big day. Its bright and airy design is also a great place to host fun get-togethers such as a girls’ night out and birthday and bachelorette parties. The space has make-up and hair stations as well as manicure and pedicure area too. You can bring your own food, drinks and fun!
