Cannabidiol (CBD) has gained attention since becoming federally legal in 2018. Over-the-Counter CBD products derived from hemp plants are currently legal in Florida for clients 21 years old and older, as long as they contain less than 0.3% THC.

Interesting Facts:

1. CBD is NOT psychoactive and will not produce a “heady” feeling.

2. There are three types of CBD:

a. Isolate CBD: contains only CBD

b. Full-Spectrum CBD: contains a mixture of cannabinoids and terpenes,      and can contain THC.

c. Broad-Spectrum CBD: contains a mixture of cannabinoids and    terpenes, but no THC

3. CBD can be applied topically and taken orally.

4. CBD is generally well tolerated at normal dosing.

5. The endocannabinoid system in our bodies is responsive to CBD, resulting in many noticeable health benefits.

6. Studies on CBD products have shown significant issues with label accuracy, contamination with heavy metals/pesticides, and inconsistent CBD content.

It is important to find a reputable source for CBD; one that conducts top-quality third-party testing.
