When or how did you get interested in art?

I can’t even remember a time that I haven’t been interested in art; my mother is also an artist, so I guess I have just followed in her footsteps.

Painting has always been very therapeutic for me. I think it was when I began finding joy and peace in the process instead of it causing extra stress, that I could truly call myself an artist.

What are you most proud of?

I am most proud of my AP portfolio this year. Going into it, I didn’t realize how hard and rigorous it would be to get all 24 pieces done in time, but I was able to do it, and I’m proud of that.

What are your future career goals?

I want to be able to start my own business doing custom art for others. That would help me to do what I love and make things that others could love as well.
