A collection of conversations about curiosity, growth, adventure, and the paths that lead us forward

In my functional health coaching practice, I specialize in women’s midlife health — hormones, gut health, sleep, weight gain, hair thinning, and every symptom that comes with that chapter of life. We dig deep, build a plan that fits each individual, and begin the work. My passion is educating women about their own bodies so they can age gracefully.

What does the word “explore” mean to you, personally or professionally?

As an Aquarian, I love exploring the unknown — it’s just part of who I am. In my coaching business, hormone health is always an exploration. Every woman is different, every body tells a different story, and that mystery is exactly what drives me.

What’s a risk you took that led you somewhere incredible?

I became a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and CrossFit coach and stepped out into the world to teach once my children were in school full time. What I discovered was my passion — and that passion has led me to where I am now, doing work where I can genuinely make a difference in people’s lives.

How has “exploration” shaped your approach to your work or creativity?

Through the many courses I took and learning what real health actually means, I discovered that getting to the root cause — upstream of the symptoms — is the only real answer. That realization changed everything about how I work.

What’s the most unforgettable local experience you’ve had while traveling?

Visiting Rome with my daughter — and while we were there, I located a relative I never even knew existed. Moments like that remind you how connected we all are.

What city or country has inspired you the most and why?

Manhattan. It energizes me and keeps me learning. The city hosts cutting-edge conferences in functional medicine and hormone health, and just being there puts me at the center of what’s new and next in my field.

Any secret spots in Southwest Florida you think everyone should experience at least once?

The Floridian Club. The views are breathtaking and the sunsets never get old. It’s my happy place.

When was the last time you did something for the first time?

I had an MRI about two weeks ago — my first ever. It’s a reminder that even when we think we’ve done it all, life keeps introducing new firsts.

Where do you go — physically or mentally — when you need to recharge?

The beach at sunset. Every time.

You have 24 hours to explore any city in the world with unlimited access — where are you going and what’s first on your list?

San Francisco — straight to Napa. Wine country, incredible scenery, beautiful food. What else do you need?

If your career were a travel destination, what kind of adventure would it promise?

Getting on the road to aging gracefully and feeling your absolute best every single day.

Commercial real estate and hospitality.

What does the word “explore” mean to you, personally or professionally?

To me, “explore” means being open to new ideas, people, and places — staying curious, thinking independently, and not being afraid to be adventurous, both in business and in life. Some of the best ideas happen when you let your mind be free.

What’s a risk you took that led you somewhere incredible?

Creating Prime Social Reserve in collaboration with the Cameron Mitchell Restaurants team has been one of the biggest — and most rewarding — risks of my career. The project was nearly six years in the making, and honestly, there were countless times the deal died. But through hard work, perseverance, and determination, we brought it back to life. For so many reasons, Prime Social Reserve probably shouldn’t have happened — but I’m incredibly grateful it did, and for what it brings to the City of Naples. Seeing people genuinely enjoy the experience, connect with friends and family in the space, and appreciate what we created makes all the years of hard work and risk worth it.

Any secret spots in Southwest Florida you think everyone should experience at least once?

There are so many incredible hidden gems in Naples. A few of my favorites: Bay House, Chops City Grill, Prime Social Reserve, Snook Inn, Spanky’s, Staff Only, and Cheeky Tiki. What makes Southwest Florida special is the variety — you can go from a laid-back spot to an elevated dining experience all in the same day.

Where do you go — physically or mentally — when you need to recharge?

On a boat. Being on the water way offshore is one of my true happy places. It lets me disconnect, reset, and step away from everyday life and business. There’s something about being out there with no meetings, no emails, no distractions — and no cell service — that completely clears my mind.

You have 24 hours to explore any city in the world with unlimited access — where are you going and what’s first on your list?

I’ve never been, but probably Tokyo. The energy, culture, food, hospitality, and creativity all seem incredible. Plus, skiing in Japan is on my bucket list — though Tokyo and skiing in the same 24-hour period might be a little aggressive. I’m still down to try.

If your career were a travel destination, what kind of adventure would it promise?

Definitely not a cruise. I’m more of a planes, trains, and automobiles type — fast-moving, constantly changing scenery, unexpected detours, and a little controlled (and occasionally uncontrolled) chaos mixed in. Less about big crowds and more about unique, boutique experiences shared with family and people you actually want to spend time with. At the end of the day, that’s what both business and life are really about for me: creating memorable experiences and meaningful connections.

I specialize in aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery at Azul Cosmetic Surgery and Medical Spa, offering a comprehensive selection of surgical procedures designed to enhance confidence while preserving each patient’s natural beauty and individuality.

What does the word “explore” mean to you, personally or professionally?

To me, exploration means staying curious and being willing to grow. Professionally, it means continuing to learn and refine my craft. Personally, it means embracing new experiences and stepping outside of my comfort zone.

What’s a risk you took that led you somewhere incredible?

Moving to Southwest Florida and starting over professionally was a huge leap. It pushed me outside of my comfort zone in every way — but it led to incredible personal and professional growth.

How has “exploration” shaped your approach to your work or creativity?

I think exploration keeps you from becoming stagnant. In surgery, it pushes me to keep learning, refining my techniques, and approaching every patient with both precision and an artistic eye.

What’s the most unforgettable local experience you’ve had while traveling?

Visiting the small town in Italy where my dad is from and dancing with the locals in the town square. Young and old, everyone together, just celebrating life. Those are the moments I remember most.

What city or country has inspired you the most and why?

Italy. There’s such a deep appreciation for beauty, craftsmanship, and the art of living well there. As a surgeon, I naturally connect with the attention to detail and artistry you see everywhere.

How does your palate reflect your own exploration of food and flavor?

My palate has definitely been shaped by my love of cooking and trying new things. I love exploring different cultures through flavor, and cooking has made me appreciate how much thought and personality can go into a single meal.

Any secret spots in Southwest Florida you think everyone should experience at least once?

I’m still new to Southwest Florida, so I’m still exploring and discovering new spots myself — and honestly, that’s been one of my favorite parts of living here.

When was the last time you did something for the first time?

Becoming a mom recently has been the biggest “first” of my life. It’s changed my perspective in so many ways and has been both the most challenging and the most rewarding experience I’ve ever had.

Have you ever taken a trip that turned into a journey of self-discovery?

I think every trip teaches you something about yourself. For me, travel has been more about gaining perspective and experiencing different cultures than any single transformative moment.

Where do you go — physically or mentally — when you need to recharge?

Nature. Whether it’s a hike, a walk in the park, or sitting by the beach listening to the waves — that’s always been the easiest way for me to slow down and reset.

You have 24 hours to explore any city in the world with unlimited access — where are you going and what’s first on your list?

Cairo. I’ve always been fascinated by the Great Pyramids, and seeing them in person would absolutely be first on my list.

If your career were a travel destination, what kind of adventure would it promise?

The kind that constantly keeps you learning and evolving. There’s an adrenaline rush in the challenges along the way — but in the end, you get a beautiful, rewarding outcome that makes it all worth it.

Incend Fitness is a private personal training business serving Naples with customized one-on-one, partner, and small-group training brought directly to clients — in their homes, private gyms, condo gyms, clubhouse gyms, and community fitness centers. As a small team of experienced trainers, we give clients the convenience of training where they already are, with programs built around their goals, fitness level, and lifestyle. We primarily serve busy professionals and retirees who want to build strength, lose fat, improve mobility, and feel confident in their bodies. A former Division I gymnast with over a decade of training experience, I founded Incend Fitness to combine expert coaching with a supportive, individualized approach focused on wellness, longevity, and lasting results.

What does the word “explore” mean to you, personally or professionally?

To me, it means looking at all parts of something without a clear target in mind — staying open to wherever the process leads.

What’s a risk you took that led you somewhere incredible?

Moving to Naples in January. I’m still in the middle of this one.

How has “exploration” shaped your approach to your work or creativity?

It allowed me to find opportunities I never would have discovered by just following the standard, cookie-cutter approach. Staying open to what’s possible — rather than what’s proven — has made a real difference.

What’s the most unforgettable local experience you’ve had while traveling?

Cars on 5th. An incredible event, right here in Naples.

What city or country has inspired you the most and why?

Italy. The architecture is unbelievable. Standing in front of those structures makes you realize what humans are capable of. You can’t fully grasp the scale and the detail until you’re actually there. And when you factor in the Pyramids of Egypt on top of that… it’s humbling. We are the same species that built all of it.

How does your palate reflect your own exploration of food and flavor?

It pushes me to try almost anything. When it comes to flavor, I’m not a picky eater. When it comes to health, I’m a bit more selective.

Any secret spots in Southwest Florida you think everyone should experience at least once?

Lujack’s. Chops. The food is unbelievable.

When was the last time you did something for the first time?

Bungee jumping, about a year ago. Highly recommend.

Have you ever taken a trip that turned into a journey of self-discovery?

My one-way trip to Penn State — and the years I spent there. I had no way of knowing where it would lead. It led to everything.

Where do you go — physically or mentally — when you need to recharge?

Home to LA.

You have 24 hours to explore any city in the world with unlimited access — where are you going and what’s first on your list?

Vatican City, straight to St. Peter’s Basilica. One of the most extraordinary human structures ever built — I’d want to stand inside it for as long as possible.

If your career were a travel destination, what kind of adventure would it promise?

A steep hike up a mountain — plenty of obstacles, plenty of jumps, and plenty of opportunities to conquer fear along the way.

I serve as Area Executive Vice President at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., specializing in complex commercial insurance and risk management for Southwest Florida’s most prominent residential and commercial properties. A lifelong Naples resident since 1974, I’ve built a career as one of the region’s most trusted advisors in the condominium association and real estate development sectors. With more than 29 years of experience, I bring deep expertise in risk analysis, contractual risk transfer, risk retention, and insurance program design — working with a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from luxury condo associations to large-scale developers. Prior to joining Gallagher, I was a principal and former owner of Lutgert Insurance, a longstanding Naples firm acquired by Gallagher in 2017.

What’s a risk you took that led you somewhere incredible?

Stepping into ownership at Lutgert Insurance and helping grow the business in an increasingly complex market. Rather than playing it safe, I leaned into specialization — focusing on large condominium associations, luxury coastal properties, and complex real estate developments. It required deep expertise, long-term relationships, and customized solutions where standard programs simply didn’t work. That decision led to incredible opportunities: working alongside Naples’ leading developers, boards, and property managers, and eventually becoming part of Arthur J. Gallagher. More importantly, it allowed me to build a career centered on trust and helping protect some of the communities that have shaped Naples for generations.

What city or country has inspired you the most and why?

Bora Bora. Beyond its natural beauty, what struck me most was the balance between relaxed island living, strong community values, and a deep appreciation for preserving both culture and environment — which reminded me of Naples. Bora Bora’s pace and respect for its surroundings reinforced the importance of building a life and career around relationships and community. It’s a destination that successfully blends growth, beauty, and a strong sense of identity, and that’s something I’ve always valued.

Any secret spots in Southwest Florida you think everyone should experience at least once?

The waters around Dry Tortugas National Park — particularly the fishing grounds just north of Fort Jefferson. It’s one of the most unique and untouched places in Florida: crystal-clear water, incredible marine life, and some of the best fishing anywhere in the state.

Babe’s Booths is a photo booth experience designed to feel more fun, interactive, approachable, and just a little more female-focused. I wanted to create something simple that makes everyone feel beautiful, brings energy to a room, and becomes part of what people remember most about an event. I love bringing that element to every party while giving businesses and charities a creative new way to advertise and be seen. Whether it helps people connect, laugh, promote a cause, or simply enjoy the moment — that’s why I started it.

What does the word “explore” mean to you, personally or professionally?

For me, “explore” goes far beyond places. It means exploring yourself and your own potential — pushing your limits, stepping outside your comfort zone, and constantly working to become the best version of yourself. Growth happens when you’re willing to try new things and embrace experiences that challenge you. Every time you explore something new, you learn a little more about who you are.

What’s a risk you took that led you somewhere incredible?

It was never about just one risk for me. I’ve taken many throughout my life — especially when it came to starting over. I’ve moved around, stepped into unfamiliar places, and had to build new chapters more than once. Not every experience was easy, and not every risk worked out the way I expected — but every single one, good and bad, led me exactly where I’m supposed to be. It brought me to Naples, where I can honestly say I’ve never been happier in every aspect of my life. I wouldn’t change a thing.

How does your palate reflect your own exploration of food and flavor?

My palate definitely reflects my personality. I’m always down to try something new. I love exploring different foods, flavors, and experiences — because some of the best surprises happen when you step outside your comfort zone. I’ve always believed you should try everything at least once, because you never know what might become your new favorite thing.

Where do you go — physically or mentally — when you need to recharge?

The beach, always at sunset — when the water turns silver and everything gets a little quieter. I love taking long walks while listening to chill deep house music. It’s where I can clear my mind, reset, and recharge. There’s something about the combination of the ocean, the music, and slowing down that always brings me back to center.

If your career were a travel destination, what kind of adventure would it promise?

An adventure centered around connection — because the best destinations aren’t really about places. They’re about the people and the moments you remember.

I’m a Business Strategist and Wellness Advocate whose consulting work centers on leadership, human connection, wellness, and strategic growth.

What does the word “explore” mean to you, personally or professionally?

“Explore” has taught me the beauty of remaining curious. In my work, I approach everything with a drive to stay open to new perspectives and to entertain ideas and experiences that challenge the way I think — whether I’m speaking, building partnerships, or active in the community. I believe exploration is what drives evolution. It keeps me inspired, curious, and wanting to contribute.

Where do you go — physically or mentally — when you need to recharge?

Velocity Naples, always. All I need is 45 minutes surrounded by my team, friends, and family. A workout and a quick catch-up afterward — and suddenly I’m laughing, singing, and just being. Easy, quick fix.

If your career were a travel destination, what kind of adventure would it promise?

Destined to Be Great is all about the journey — an expedition rooted in purpose that blends connection, a love of impact, wellness, and creativity. Promising to leave people inspired and empowered, and reminding them they don’t have to take the journey alone.
