Exude Confidence This Summer

Non-Invasive Treatments To Look And Feel The Best

Summer is here, and feeling confident in our bodies is more important than ever. Sometimes, people need a little help with looking their best, and today, there are many quick, painless and non-invasive ways to do that.

“One of my goals is to educate people that if they don't like the way something looks, they can get great results without the risks, expenses and downtime that comes with surgery,” says Doylene (Dee Dee) Knapper, owner of the body positivity spa, Radianté, in Nashville. At her new location in Berry Hill, which she describes as very elegant and calming, she is offering the latest technologies in the aesthetic industry.

“There’s a brand new treatment called Sentient Sculpt, and we're the only ones in Nashville that have it at this point,” she says. “It uses microwave therapy, which is 10 times stronger than radio frequency so you can get better results with fewer treatments.”

For skin tightening, cellulite correction and fat reduction, Dee Dee says it works even better than CoolSculpting. “It’s been really difficult in the past to get results with cellulite work, and if you did, it was temporary. But, this treatment has been FDA cleared to be long lasting. It does a really good job with fat reduction too since it actually gets rid of fat cells in the areas that we treat. Once they're gone, they’re gone.”

She has had clients come in and tell her that they haven’t been able to wear shorts or skirts in many years because they’re embarrassed by their legs. “To me, it's like a personal challenge. I tell them I'm going to get them back into those clothing items. As a nurse, I’m used to helping people– it’s just my nature.”

In addition to body treatments, the Radianté team also offers an array of non-invasive facial treatments, such as the HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) Facelift. “It’s a non-invasive way to stimulate your body to rejuvenate itself by forming collagen,” says Dee Dee. “People actually get up, immediately look in the mirror and say, ‘Oh wow, that's incredible.’”

Another offering is the PRX Derm Perfexion. “A bio-revitalizer is massaged into the skin and directly stimulates the collagen production center in the skin that produces an immediate surface tightening and glow,” she says. “If someone has an event or vacation coming up, they can come in the day before. It's unlike other facial treatments like lasers and peels because you don’t have to avoid the sun afterwards. You still have to wear sunscreen, of course, because you always need to protect your skin.”

While Dee Dee doesn’t personally do Botox or fillers, if a client requests it along with one of the other treatments, she has another nurse who can come in to accommodate that need.

Another unique offering is Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF) for pain relief. “It uses an electromagnetic field to reset the electrical impulses in muscle cells that have been stressed or injured,” she says. “It pushes out inflammation and swelling and feels amazing, similar to getting a massage. But while a massage is a short fix, this treatment is more long term.”

Dee Dee believes no one should try to fit their body into somebody else's expectations. “When you're confident about how you look, you portray yourself totally differently, and it really has nothing to do with what other people see. It has to do with how you feel about yourself.”
