Patience, it is said, is a virtue. And when it comes to looking for your dream home, it makes the

wait that much sweeter.

For Jamie and Ozan Firat, finding their new home at Tri Pointe Homes’ Terrace at Madera in

Queen Creek was worth the wait.

“We were looking at other communities in other areas for the last three years, but the prices

were a little out of our range,” said Jamie. “Once we discovered (Terrace at) Madera, we fell in

love and purchased the Cholla plan right away.”

The reasons were many. The Cholla plan offers roomy single-story living with room for growth –

something the Firat’s look forward to. They also like that their home includes Energy Star®

appliances, is LEED Certified® and Energy Star® certified, and has an energy-efficient HERS

Rating of 50, which is excellent compared with a typical resale home in the 130 range.

“Anything to keep the energy bills down is important,” says Jamie.

Additionally, the family appreciates Tri Pointe’s LivingSmart® program that encompasses the

latest in energy-saving features, materials and equipment that help improve their home’s

indoor air quality, smart technology, and systems to help conserve water and natural

resources.

“It was nice to know that all of these things were included in the base price and that we

wouldn’t be paying extra,” said Jamie.

Another big reason the Firat’s love their new home is that they are able to personalize it while

it’s being built to include a lot of the features they desire.

“Madera checked all our boxes,” said Jamie. This includes a large backyard big enough space for

a pool, a house with at least 3,000 square feet, and the opportunity for personalized touches.

“We didn’t want a move-in ready home,” said Jamie. “We were able to pick exactly what we

wanted, like tile floors throughout, and even choose the lot we wanted.”

The Firat’s home will provide plenty of space, too. With five bedrooms and four bathrooms to

accommodate family members who visit on a regular basis, an open floor plan that’s perfect for

entertaining, and a game room that can be utilized for a variety of purposes—especially since

they own a pool table and ping pong table—the family couldn't be happier with the home

design.

“The design studio was fabulous, and we definitely took advantage of the team’s experience

and expertise,” says Jamie.

Jamie and Ozan were also attracted to the impressive community amenities. With a 10-year-

old, the whole family plans to enjoy Madera’s numerous amenities, including a 4.6-acre central

park with a large pavilion, pool, sport courts, play areas and ramadas, recreation center, and

nature trails.

Moving to Queen Creek from Phoenix was an easy decision for the family that still wanted to be

close to everything but live in a community that was less crowded and congested.

“Queen Creek is more spread out with easy access to freeways, and everything you need is close by,”

says Jamie.

While the Firat’s wait for their move-in next summer, Jamie reflected on the path they took to

get their dream home and how Tri Pointe Homes made it easy.

“I’ve had a lot of questions and they walked us through the whole process. They asked

questions, and they listened. They truly care. It’s been a top-notch experience,” said Jamie.
