Trend Boutique Combines Casual Yet Pulled-Together Fashion

Fall Look Book: A Colorado Style That's All About the Details

Christine Harff of Lone Tree is the owner of Trend, a women's apparel boutique that is featured in several beauty salons and pop-up shops in south Denver. Her looks are shown here in Highlands Ranch Lifestyle's September style issue. Christine shares her thoughts on Colorado style:

What is Trend boutique?

I am the owner/founder of Trend. Trend is located in four beauty salons in the south Denver area and Details Boutique in Littleton. The salons are Solera Salon in Centennial, Solera Salon in Lone Tree, Salon in the Village in Highlands Ranch and Lush Salon in Centennial. The salons are a great fit for my product because they cater to women who spend time on themselves to look and feel good. When you have a great new cut and blowout, it's always a perfect time to pick up a new blouse, dress or earrings! These salons want you to look and feel good from head to toe when you walk out.

What is your overriding mission and esthetic when curating pieces for Trend?

There is no big secret to my shopping for new styles. Denver is easy with our casual but pulled-together look. My goal is to find beautiful clothes with unique details at a great price. I have only three rules when purchasing pieces for Trend. First, I only buy what I love and would wear myself. I have to be comfortable in clothes that fit and feel good. Second is what I refer to as the "touch test;" it must feel soft and of quality material. And third, it must have something unique or a little different about it. So much lies in the details that set my pieces apart from something off the rack from the mall.

Any and all animal prints are in for the fall. What are some other great fashion trends women can adopt this season?

I love the variety of denim jeans for fall. It's time to venture out from the skinny jeans that we've seen for a while. Wide-leg and flared jeans cropped or full length with lots of hems to choose from: finished, unfinished, fringed or maybe even a little ruffle! Also, an easy and inexpensive way to freshen up an outfit is with new accessories. A great way to experiment with color is with fun earrings or a statement necklace. I love a turquoise necklace of any length with a neutral fall sweater.

What are your key tips for living a stylish lifestyle?

Style is in the eye of the beholder. Be you, be comfortable but not so comfortable that all you wear is athleisure! It feels good to be pulled together. Do it for yourself. You deserve it!
