Dr. Berry grew up in Mt. Juliet but he attended school at UT Memphis before completing a hospital residency in Birmingham, AL. Working at UAB allowed him to learn sedation and advanced surgery techniques. His goal has always been to provide a wide variety of services under one roof. He says, "I want to be able to do as much for my patients as possible, without sending them all over town."
Since 2019, Dr. Berry has been working to change the community's perspective about dentistry, providing excellent care and a cutting-edge dental facility in one practice. With many complex procedures that can now be completed in just one appointment along with a 3D printing lab, he still brings a friendly neighborhood vibe with his customer oriented staff.
He loves the feeling of wow-ing a patient with a straightforward and pain-controlled experience when they visit. Mount Juliet Family Dentistry offers everything from dental cleanings, Botox, in-house root canals, crowns, implants, and dentures. They are also known for their stunning dental makeovers through cosmetic procedures such as straightening, whitening, bridges, and veneers. And, yes, they also do Botox injections!
Their current patient base ranges in age from one to 100! Zac understands the importance of building a relationship and works to protect it with both children and adults. He recommends bringing children in before the age of two, but he says, "I don't care how much we get done at the first appointment, I just want to make sure my youngest patients start with a wonderful experience from the get go." He wants little ones to learn that it's okay to go to the dentist, and he doesn't want their parents to stress. For the initial visit, they ease them into the experience through play activities and the treasure chest, which is always a hit. As time progresses, if an issue does arise, he'll be able to handle it because he has built a foundation of trust.
It's obvious that the staff enjoys working together. They all eat lunch at the office daily and do continuing education events together. Dr. Berry feels lucky to have such an incredible team and says they have a lot of fun! Patients rave about their professionalism, caring nature, and extensive knowledge.
Moving back to Mt. Juliet has been a dream come true for Zac and his family. He always envisioned working in the same city where he lived and grew up. He remembered the small-town feel of Mount Juliet as a child and was thrilled that it still existed. He enjoys being able to care for the firefighters who work next door and bumping into patients at Kroger or Walmart.
On the weekends, he and his wife enjoy the playground at Charlie Daniels Park with their kids, ages 2 and 10 months. They also love going out to eat at Mt. Juliet local restaurants. Traveling is also essential for his family, and they try to make it out to Big Sky, Montana, every year to celebrate where him and his wife met. Zac also has a passion for photography and has definitely incorporated this into his practice.
