Discovering McIntyre Pastures on Instagram I quickly reached out to Maria to set up a farm tour and was amazed by the knowledge, skill, and drive she had for creating positive farming practices.  Restoring the soil and raising healthy animals positively impacts the Treasure Valley.  Seeing the care and work that goes into the food I choose emphasizes why it’s important to eat seasonally and to support local farms. It’s a great opportunity to make a day out of visiting with the family, or even a first date.

FLAVOR PROFILE

Bright, beautiful, healthy yolks; honey with a smooth texture and delicious finish

PAIRS WELL WITH

Creamy, dreamy egg salad; tea and toast

OVERALL

Enjoy their eggs fried with kale and avocado; drizzle honey on sourdough bread; roast a chicken for green chile’ enchiladas, homemade chicken soup, and buffalo chicken stuffed sweet potatoes. The quality of their pasture-raised meats is second to none. Their passion for farming is in every bite of their food. Offering farm tours allows you to view their farming practices and create a lasting relationship with the farmers.
