FarmHouse Fresh

A Beauty in our Midst

Who They Are

You would never guess the farmhouse on a hill with pasture surrounding it is the creative headquarters for one of the most successful companies to come out of McKinney, but it is. FarmHouse Fresh (FHF) has become the favorite line of body care products in the industry.

Their tagline, "deliciously grown skincare," has developed from the company’s first two passions. Freshly grown on their farm or other local U.S. farms (98% Texas products), ingredients are harvested, washed and extracted within hours to ensure vitamins are at their peak. And they ensure zero waste—feeding the chickens the pulpy leftover rinds! Their farm-to-table treatments are as delicious as they are authentically crafted with organic fruits, vegetables and herbs and small batch liquors from across the U.S.

The third passion is helping care for forgotten, neglected, and abused farm animals at their FHF Ranch and Sanctuary. They also fund, transport and actively support other rescues. Following their creed -- Life is Short. Save Something Furry.® -- they use part of the proceeds from your purchases to help care for these unfortunate creatures.

How They Started

It started when the founder, Shannon McLinden, created a product that smoothed cracked heels. Made from a mixture of sea salt and rice bran oil, the product caught the pleasant attention of Oprah, and the company has evolved into an international phenomenon producing seasonal offerings. While she initiated the company in Frisco in 2011, she moved the offices to McKinney in 2015.

The Products

FHF has an extensive collection of face, body, bath and fragrance products. At FHF, you can enjoy exfoliators, oils, lotions, creams, moisturizers, cleansers, soaks, scrubs, perfumes, candles and more.

Their products are the favorites in upscale hotels, spas and the resort industry and are distributed in the U.S., Mexico and the Middle East. They continuously collect awards from consumer magazines and have made Oprah’s “O-List” twice.

FHF works with the aestheticians to develop personalized programs. Their products are known for having an aroma that makes their products smell more like food than skin care. As Oprah said about the initial heel treatment, “Here's a trio of foot scrubs that smell so good, I want to serve them over berries!"

So, this woman-owned-business with two patents and lots of trademarks has indeed brought beauty into our midst and shares it across the globe. Very well done, FarmHouse Fresh, very well done indeed. We’re proud you are in McKinney, Collin County and Texas.
