A designer and boutique owner share their four fab fall looks

Liesa Hess is the owner of Apricot Lane Boutique in Marietta and handpicks each item, listening to customers. She believed her boutique should be a place for community. “Some days people walk in the door and just need to talk and that is one of the things I enjoy doing is being an ear to listen.  I never want anyone to walk in and not feel like it is a welcoming place.”

Four looks Liesa loves for fall:

1. Tulle- You will see this in every form from top, skirt, dress.  I would pair a tulle top with some fun leather pants and a pair of heels to make a flirty yet feminine look.

2.Cargo Pants- You will see these in denim, silk, khaki etc.  You can style these with a chunky sweater and sneakers or boots.  For the silky ones I would pair a chunky sweater and a fun pair of high heels.

3. Barbie Vibes- Pink will be seen in the form of clothing and accessories from wide leg trousers, midi dresses, skirts, corset tops, handbags, shoes, etc. This happens to be my favorite color so I am beyond thrilled for this.

4. Leather- You will see leather in every from skirts, pants, tops, jackets and I am here for it. I love leather and already have so many leather like pieces in store.

"We strive to be a place daughter, mother, and grandmother can all shop.  I have customers from 13-76 and as I continue to learn and grow I continue to try to make sure I have pieces for every age,” says Liesa. Be sure to grab a tube of Kind Lips balm. With 20% of profits given to anti-bullying organizations, each tube of KIND LIPS is a reminder to be kind.

Erin Gray Morton is founder and designer of erin gray, a collection of pima cotton white tees and waterproof gold-filled jewelry right here in Atlanta. Erin’s company dedicates annual contributions to childhood cancer patients and their families through CURE Childhood Cancer, an organization dedicated to finding a cure for cancers that affect children.

Four looks Erin loves for fall:

1.  Basics, but LUXURIOUS basics!  Luxurious basic pima cotton tees are the ones you will grab every time. Think timeless, classic, what you pack to go on vacation. Reach for the long sleeve raglan crew (an elevated throw-back to the baseball-style tee), and our dolman V three-quarter length tee (which is slightly dressier and a perfect layering piece for game day.

2.  NAVY!  Our best-selling CYA (Cover Your Assets) long-sleeve crew is a perfect addition to your fall wardrobe.   These tees are perfect to wear with leggings or with a boyfriend, front tuck into your favorite, comfy jeans.

3.  Year-round WHITE is in!  White looks good on everyone and dresses up every outfit with minimal effort.  It is banded at the waist and the wrists and features a raw-edge neckline.

4.  Waterproof, 14k Gold-Filled Simple yet Luxurious necklaces and bracelets will be your go-tos to layer or wear alone.  NEW this Fall to our lineup of this luxury, waterproof collection is our Gold Filled Beaded Bliss Necklace and Gold Filled Beaded Oval Necklace.  Other can’t-go-wrong pieces are our Karma, Waterproof Gold Beaded Bracelets, our NEW gold-filled initial beaded bracelets AND…for a truly special gift, our DIAMOND INITIAL 14k gold necklaces!

Blakely Whitehead was raised in East Cobb where her father worked in the fashion industry. She worked for a high-end men's designer, as well as a women's boutique in Buckhead. She then transitioned her career into the interior design industry and worked in the design world for over 15 years. She has since combined her shared love of fashion into creating Willow Park located in Paper Mill Village.

Four looks Blakely loves for fall.

  1. I love fall floral patterns that can be dressed up with heels or paired down with jeans and loafers or sneakers. Without a doubt, everyone is ready to get dressed and celebrate special occasions!
  2. Feminine dresses are one of our favorite looks for fall. From maxi dresses to shorter shifts, there’s a wide range of options that can be worn with a cardigan, a denim jacket or a vegan leather jacket. Weather in the south is unpredictable so we have to be prepared for anything!
  3. While I love the romance of feminine dresses, nothing beats a great top for versatility. From a crisp collar to a detailed sleeve, a few special tops can enhance every wardrobe.
  4. A fresh pair of neutral shoes is a must. Your clothing and accessories should make the statement, not your feet! I like to have an assortment of neutral boots, heels, loafers and sneakers.
