Ferro Steel Doors Finds Its Home in McKinney

Steel Door Company Opens Locally, Featuring Custom Steel Doors and Wrought Iron Designs

Ferro Steel Doors opened its state-of-the-art showroom in August 2021 and quickly has become the “go-to” company for custom steel and iron doors in the Metroplex. The showroom features 1,200 square feet of custom wrought iron doors and railings, steel doors, and windows. While the showroom and website feature many modern and traditional designs, everything is 100 percent customizable.

“We’re very excited to share the absolute best iron and steel doors in McKinney,” said Tatiana Ruiz, Owner and Founder. “The new showroom shares our love of custom, hand-forged door and window designs.”

Ruiz moved to McKinney four years ago and has seen first-hand how much the area has grown and wanted to help contribute to that growth. No one else in the area does custom steel designs so choosing McKinney as the location for their showroom was an easy decision.

Ferro Steel Doors clientele include contractors, builders, and homeowners. More and more homes and businesses are using steel in their designs, as it is extremely durable and very easy to work with. From cutting to welding to painting, there are few limitations to what designs can be done.

“We have changed the way people saw our materials,” says Ruiz. “We’re proud of every custom design that comes out of our store.”

First opening in Dallas in 2013, this family-owned company has perfected every aspect of the steel and wrought iron business. Ferro Steel Doors prides itself on being a one-stop store. From the personal consultations to the custom design process to the manufacturing to professional installation, clients will have the assurance that they will get the best quality, price, lead time, and service.

“We deliver a finished product guarantee. Our clients can always expect the best and we make sure they are 100 percent happy," says Ruiz. "Our motto is always under-promise and over-deliver."

Ferro Steel Doors has seen fast growth in just the short six months they have been open. The goal is to expand and open other locations in the area. Their research and design consultants are working on developing several products that the competition does not have, such as European-style doors and technology, while perfecting their materials and continuing to grow.

Being one of two female-owned and operated steel door businesses in the area, Ruiz describes herself as a very girlie girl in a very masculine world.

“I like to surprise people,” exclaimed Ruiz. “I place a high emphasis on listening to my client’s needs and can vison each project, from start to finish. I feel I really connect with my clients.”

The McKinney Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting at Ferro Steel Doors on February 1st. Ferro Steel Doors is located at 1411 N Custer Road, Suite 1100, and open Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm. For more information stop by the showroom or visit www.ferrodoors.com.
