A special bus tour made a stop a local summer camp in Roswell to bring a bit of magic. The All Roads Lead to Camp Bus Tour traveled across the US and it chose Camp High Meadows for a stop along the way.
Excited Roswell campers who love the Camp Rock movies were thrilled the tour rolled through to build buzz ahead of the next installment. "I am so excited, I've seen all the different promotions about the movie and I'm just waiting for when it comes out," says Avery Janson, a senior camper at Camp High Meadows.
Camp Rock 3 premiered this summer, with Disney marking the occasion through the coast-to-coast bus tour, which launched in Nashville over the Fourth of July before making stops across the country ahead of its finale at D23: The Ultimate Fan Event in Anaheim was in mid-August. The movie picks up with the band Connect 3 losing their opening act ahead of a big reunion tour, sending them back to their beloved Camp Rock to find the next big thing — sparking rivalries, new alliances and a few unexpected romances along the way. Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas all return to reprise their roles, alongside a new class of camper characters.
The tour partnered with the American Camp Association to stop at accredited camps nationwide, also offering "camperships" — scholarships that help underserved kids afford the summer camp experience. Camp High Meadows' stop brought its own local flavor to the celebration: campers took Polaroid photos, colored Camp Rock 3 bandanas, and danced along to songs from the franchise, giving Roswell kids a taste of the movie magic before it hit the screens.
