Did you know that massage offers a drug-free, non-invasive approach to wellness based on the body’s natural ability to heal itself? Taking time to take care of your health is frequently difficult to prioritize — we often take care of others and skip taking care of ourselves. One-to-two hours of massage can possibly make everything you do less stressful and less painful, allowing you to be more productive with the rest of your day!
Jill Clarvit has been passionate about massage therapy for most of her adult life, a devotee of monthly massages because of what a positive impact she knew they had. So, when her husband, Neil Nosenchuk, came to a career crossroads, her passion became their business. After doing some research and due diligence, they took the leap and went into business for themselves 10 years ago with Elements Massage.
They chose Elements Massage for the true focus on therapeutic massage. “Their specialty is massage, and only massage and their therapists are true masters at what they do," said Jill. “We’re here to help people to relieve their pain or to completely relax.”
”Many people go for a massage when they are on vacation and don’t think to get a massage more regularly for their health or just to reset,“ Jill explained.“ Massage has so many healing properties and goes hand in hand with chiropractor or PT treatment. Doctors will often prescribe regular massage to their patients. It also helps with depression and your overall mental health. People just don’t realize that going for monthly massage takes care of overall health and well-being.”
Besides traditional massage therapy, they have many other enhancements you can add to a client's individualized experience. "Our clients love Himalayan Salt 'Hot Stone' massages with their 84 mineral properties. We offer cupping. We do a lot of prenatal massages, massage to help with oncology, fibromyalgia, Crohn’s disease, and more. We also offer aromatherapy and CBD oil, which can be incorporated into the massage for their wonderful anti-inflammatory and relaxation properties,” Neil said as he outlined some of their offerings.
Jill explained why regular sessions are so important. “We often don’t realize that pain can come on suddenly but can be a result from something you do repetitively, over time, like working at a desk, sitting on endless Zoom calls while hunched over our computers. Massage therapy isn’t a quick fix. Just like it can take time for the pain to set in, it might take time to feel better. You might even feel worse before you feel great. But, if you go back to what you were doing, again and again, you’re back to where you started. That’s why we have our monthly treatment and membership program.” The more you come, the better you’ll feel, no matter what clients do for work and play.
As the owners, they take a personal approach with people who come to their studio. “People will call to ask about services and we’ll interview them. What are your needs, what are you looking for? ‘The Elements Way' was created for us to match our clients based on their needs to a therapist that has a particular training,” says Jill.
That’s why they keep the focus on massage. Currently, Elements doesn’t sell products—their product is massage. They offer memberships largely because it helps people be able to continue their treatment at a discount for recurring appointments - and to reap the full benefits of massage therapy. It’s a flexible wellness program, also sharable if a member chooses to give away their monthly massage to someone or locks that other person into a lower rate as well. And it’s not limited to only once a month — members’ massages are unlimited at the membership price. They even have a loyalty program to accrue free massages. Membership is optional, as Elements welcomes everyone to partake in massage and its healing properties. They also offer a 3-pack that you can use over the course of a year that will give a discount as well. And yes, they offer gift cards.
So as you’re looking for a heartfelt, body-restorative gift this holiday season, the family at Elements Massage has your back. And they know exactly what to do with it.
