Cannabidiol, or CBD, is one of the chemical components called cannabinoids found in cannabis, a plant known for its wellness properties. Hemp and marijuana belong to the cannabis genus of plants. Unlike THC found in marijuana, CBD is completely non-psychoactive, allowing people to enjoy the benefits of the cannabis plant without the high.
"Too often first time customers think we are a 'weed shop,”" says Tommy Williams, vice president of retail sales and operations at CBD Store and More on Canton Street. "People think all we sell are products to get you high. We pride ourselves on spending as much time as the customer needs to gain an understanding of the benefits of CBD." Tommy and his team call this time with new customers "CBD 101." The majority of the time, once they understand the amazing benefits, they purchase that day and almost always become a regular customer and friends with the team. "We get lots of thank yous!"

We are fortunate to have found a space that meets our needs,” Tommy says.
The shop’s customers are varied.
