Finding Your Smile

It's not too early (or late) for orthodontic care.

If you missed the joy of teen orthodontics or aren't quite confident flashing your smile, it's not too late to think about making a change. Enoch & Lamei Orthodontics in Marietta and Roswell have a passion for helping patients, creating beautiful and healthy smiles that will last a lifetime.

"As board-certified orthodontists, we give patients a beautiful, aligned smile that improves the function of their mouth," says partner Dr. Amir H. Lamei, D.M.D. "Whether early orthodontics, teen orthodontics or adult treatment, we are ready to help you get the smile you want with the highest standard of care."

We caught up with him and his partner Dr. Harold Enoch to find out more.

You specialize in early orthodontics, teen orthodontics, and adult treatment. For adults, the journey into a more aligned smile can be intimidating. What does an average treatment plan look like for adults: time commitment, price range, products? The short answer is it just depends on the case. Every case is different. We offer a complimentary exam which includes x-rays, photos and an intraoral exam. With that information, we can make a custom treatment plan and go over all options and costs with each patient.

For children, when should parents start to think about orthodontics? The American Association of Orthodontists suggests that all children have their first orthodontic exam at 7 years old. Not everyone needs treatment at an early age, but if there is any growth modification that is needed, then it is best to do so early.

For teens, all that mouth hardware can be tough on an ego. What options do you offer? We offer Invisalign as well as clear braces, but you might be surprised to hear that most of our patients are excited to have traditional braces like their friends at school.

Dr. Lamei, you grew up in Marietta and East Cobb. Why did you decide to stay in Georgia and choose Roswell for a practice location?  My wife and I love it here. We both grew up nearby and our families are here as well. We have 3 young children, and most of our time outside of work is spent with family or the many different sports and after-school activities our kids are involved in.

And, Dr Enoch, you have been practicing in metro-Atlanta since 1983 and make philanthropy a priority, supporting local youth organizations and sponsoring many school-related activities. What give-backs are you doing this year? Dr. Lamei and I are supporting all the local schools, as well as the local sports and activities in the area. We like to give back to the community.

Cutting-edge procedures, techniques, and equipment help you determine orthodontic issues with expedience and accelerate treatment. What are a few of your favorite new tools, treatments or technologies that set you apart? One of our favorite tools is our 3D intraoral scanner. No more gooey impressions! We use 3D scans to get an in-depth look at your smile. This makes for a better patient experience and allows for a more thorough treatment plan and case analysis.
