Locally owned and operated by John and Kristin Hokanson, Fiorelli Winery & Vineyard sits on ten scenic acres where six types of muscadine grapes grow and are used to produce eleven different varieties of wine. Building on the legacy of winery founders Antonio & Rosa Fiorelli, the Hokansons create exceptional wine while fostering a family-friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
The winery offers wine tastings, tours, and a menu that includes wine by the glass, bottle or flight, wine sorbets, sandwiches, and light bite selections. Guests enjoy time on the patio overlooking the vineyard and live music on Saturday and Sunday afternoons while kids love the large playground and games.
Fiorelli Winery & Vineyard also serves as a unique event venue boasting a pavilion in the middle of the vineyard that provides a 360-degree view of the grape vines. A perfect location for a unique and scenic wedding, the pavilion provides the feel of classic Italian vineyards with the bonus of being local.
Special events throughout the year include yoga and meditation sessions amongst the vines and paint-and-sip parties. The winery also hosts an annual Red, White, and Blueberry Festival held the Saturday before July 4th and the Grape Picking Experience held each year in June & August, which allows guests to experience firsthand how wine is made from vine to bottle.
For the Hokansons, the winery encompasses not only a passion for great wine, but a lifestyle of hospitality. “We love making and creating new wines as well as hosting weddings and events,” shares Kristin.
