It all started with a vision.
Amazing food made with premium, local ingredients and well-balanced beers was the vision Tim Stevens, owner and founder of From the Earth Brewing Company, had for quite some time. “I want it to come full circle by sourcing our products as fresh and as local as we can. And we want to give back to our local food partners, by giving our spent grain from brewing to the local farmers to feed their livestock and produce compost for their crops. Our goal is to become a part of this community in every way possible," says Stevens, who has been in the restaurant scene his entire career, spanning almost 30 years.
And here they are, five years later. From the Earth just celebrated its five-year anniversary in October after opening in East Roswell in 2017. The celebration included the release of five-barrel aged beers, five throw-back menu favorites from the past, and of course, great live music. From the Earth has become a staple for live music in Roswell with concerts on the inside stage as well as two years of the Back Porch Concert Series in the adjoining parking lot. The concert series brings in some of the largest and most well-known musical acts throughout the Southeast as well as the nation.
“Something we are most proud of is the assistance we have been able to provide to the community over these past five years," says Stevens. From financial support for local schools and non-profit organizations, to supplying produce boxes and school meals during the pandemic. It was the goal of Stevens to make a positive impact for the people who support FTE. And clearly, Tim, his wife Lisa, and the Stevens family have accomplished that goal. Roswell looks forward to seeing what they do over the next five years.
