Expanding Healthcare Options
The newest offering at Strata is direct primary care. By giving employers an opportunity to provide direct primary care for their employees, employers can improve the health of employees by giving them access to preventative medicine that doesn’t just treat symptoms. This can help employers avoid increasing healthcare or insurance costs and help employees avoid health issues in the future.
Sales Manager Stephanie McCune says that the preventative part of direct primary care is key.
“Inside of direct primary care, there’s so much more time directed with your provider that they truly do have time to go through every single thing, and that’s where the preventative comes in,” she says.
All direct primary care patients have zero copays or deductibles and can make same-day or next-day appointments as well as virtual visits. Direct primary care also covers urgent care needs under the membership at no additional cost so patients can be treated by their primary care doctor for urgent needs rather than heading to the nearest urgent care clinic.
Direct primary care membership offers two tiers of membership. Tier 1 includes unlimited primary care office visits (family medicine, naturopathic medicine, functional medicine, lifestyle medicine, nutritional counseling); discounted labs including one annual in-depth comprehensive lab panel; an annual supplement allowance; as well as a variety of tests and therapies. Tier 2 offers everything in Tier 1 plus a $20 service fee for 18 combined visits for chiropractic care, acupuncture, personal training, gua sha, and therapeutic touch.
McCune says, “I hear people quite often say that they want to be disrupters of healthcare, but I think that Strata is truly doing it.”
