In the heart of Northwest Arkansas, there’s a nonprofit organization that’s making a big difference—For the Love. What started in 2020 as a simple act of kindness during the early days of the pandemic has since blossomed into a lifeline for hundreds of families.

Founded by three friends—Meredith Chapuis, Jennifer Cristofaro and Melinda Williams—For the Love began as a small food initiative. The trio, who had spent countless hours running together and chatting about ways to give back, quickly realized the growing need for support in their neighborhoods. As many food pantries faced temporary closures, they knew they needed to act. Their first effort? Cooking a few lasagnas and delivering them to local families in need through connections at DHS and local schools.

Fast forward a few weeks, and For the Love had evolved into something much bigger. The founders, with no experience in running a food business, took the leap and bought a food truck. This decision was prompted by the need to serve food safely outdoors during the pandemic. It wasn’t long before the food truck became the iconic symbol of For the Love, offering not just meals, but a sense of community.

What makes this nonprofit so special is the way it brings people together. Every week, the food truck serves up meals to local residents, creating an atmosphere that’s more than just about filling stomachs—it’s about connecting people. For the Love intentionally creates a welcoming environment where neighbors from all walks of life can come together, share a meal and build relationships.

As the organization grew, so did its capacity to meet the needs of the community. By hiring a full-time chef, For the Love was able to scale its operation, serving up to 300 meals on a given night in Rogers alone. The team’s commitment to consistency is evident in their weekly meals, even during holidays like Christmas Eve, making certain that those in need always know where to turn.

And it’s not just about the meals. Volunteers are the backbone of For the Love. From corporate groups to church small groups to birthday parties, there are numerous opportunities for people to serve. Everyone is welcome, and the experience of giving back has as much impact on the volunteers as it does on the families they serve.

Partnerships with local businesses have helped For the Love thrive. Companies like Pepsi, Tyson, Hormel, and McCormick contribute vital food supplies, making it possible to feed hundreds of neighbors each week. The nonprofit also partners with other local organizations to connect families with additional resources, such as housing and job opportunities.

As For the Love continues to grow, the organization is looking forward to expanding even further. Plans are in motion to open a new location in Fayetteville in 2025, continuing their mission to serve the community with compassion and dignity.

The heart of For the Love lies in its simple yet profound message: when we take the time to know our neighbors, it enriches everyone’s lives. Whether it’s sharing a meal at a food truck or volunteering with family and friends, the power of community is at the core of this organization’s work.

In a world that often feels disconnected, For the Love is a reminder that sometimes, a small act of kindness can spark something truly special. The food might be free, but the love and connections shared are priceless.

"Community is the heart of For the Love—where meals bring people together."
