There are countless ways to say thank you, but sometimes the most meaningful expressions of gratitude are found in what we do for others.
This Veterans Day, Bronco Family Dental is putting that sentiment into action, dedicating an entire day to the men and women who have served our country.
On Wednesday, November 11, the Gilbert practice will offer complimentary comprehensive dental exams, regular cleanings for qualifying patients, teeth whitening kits and 20% off same-day treatment to local veterans.
For owner and dentist Dr. Emily Maslovich, it's a small gesture of appreciation for those who have given so much.
"I have so much respect and appreciation for what our veterans have done for our country, and it's only right that we give back to them for all they've sacrificed for us," Maslovich said.
A Different Kind of Thank You
For many, a trip to the dentist is another appointment on the calendar. But behind every routine exam and cleaning is an important part of maintaining long-term health, something Maslovich believes everyone deserves access to.
"As dental professionals, we know how important routine dental care is, and it's not always accessible," Maslovich explained. "We'd like to celebrate our veterans on this day and provide these routine services that everybody needs."
While the focus of the day is on dental care, the impact of preventive visits extends beyond a healthy smile.
Research continues to show connections between oral health and overall wellness, including associations between gum disease and conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
"We know dental cleanings are so important, not only for the health of your gums and teeth, but for the health of your whole body," Maslovich said.

"Most definitely," Maslovich said when asked whether she hopes to make the event an annual tradition. "It's an honor to be part of this community and to serve the people who've served us. Any opportunity we have to give back, that's what we're all about."
It's a simple philosophy, but one that carries a great deal of meaning.

Bronco Family Dental's Veterans Day appreciation event will take place Wednesday, November 11, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
