For the first time in 55 years, Ford is expanding the Mustang lineup with the all-electric Mustang Mach-E SUV joining the sports coupe, conferable and special editions featuring an all-new infotainment system and connected vehicle technology.
The stylish entry level Mach-E Select is $44,995 and comes standard with 255 horsepower and a 75.7-kWh. The Standard Range battery pack which provides a driving range of 230 miles. All-wheel drive is a $2700 option and drops that estimated range down to 210 miles. Ford expects it to arrive in early 2021.
If you are looking for a step up from the Select is the Mach-E Premium, which starts at $51,700. The Premium also comes standard with the Standard Range battery pack and rear-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is a $2700 option here, and a larger 98.8-kWh. An extended battery pack is available for an extra $5000. Ford claims the estimated range to be 300 miles with rear-wheel drive and 270 miles with all-wheel drive, and power output goes up to an estimated 282 hp with RWD and 332 hp with AWD. Premium models are expected to go on sale in late 2020.
If the highly acclaimed Mach-E California Route 1 is what you want, this model starts at $53,500, and has been optimized for maximum driving range. It supports the extended range battery and rear-wheel drive, and targets a rated range of 300 miles. Specialized 18-inch aerodynamic wheels come with this model. It is set to arrive in early 2021.
And for the top of the line Mach-E GT , it is running around $61,600 (excluding the First Edition which is sold out). This model comes only with the Extended Range battery but has more power than other Mach-Es, with Ford claiming totals of 459 hp and 612 lb-ft and only comes in all-wheel drive. Ford touts a Performance package available for the GT, and that this top-spec version will go from zero to 60 mph in the mid three second range. GTs will go on sale in spring 2021.
