DL: What types of services do you provide?
TJ: I offer floral preservation, which includes custom shadow boxes and terrariums. I also provide one of the newest trends of preserving flowers, using resin. These pieces range from smaller pieces such as ring holders and spheres to larger pieces such as bookends and square blocks. By having a wide range of options for our clients, we are able to make each piece unique and exactly as the client desires.
DL: Can you explain your company’s mission?
TJ: The Petal Preservation Company's mission is to capture and preserve our clients' most cherished and passionate moments through the creation of floral keepsake arrangements. The Petal Preservation Co. takes life’s most precious memories, whether from a wedding, a life achievement, or a memorial and creates an everlasting memento that will forever remain. I promise to offer superior customer service and design your keepsake with care and love.
DL: Why did you start your own floral preservation company?
TJ: Tanya started her own floral preservation company because she realized there were limited options in this area when she went to preserve her own wedding bouquet in 2017. After talking to florists and friends, she knew a need existed, which she had the ability to offer. This venture would not only provide a solution for a lot of individuals wanting to preserve flowers, but would also allow her to get back into some type of creative space utilizing her art background from The Fashion Institute of Technology and marketing background/MBA from Sacred Heart University.
DL: Where can people find more information?
TJ: The best way to get in contact and find more information is my website: www.petalpreservation.com. I also showcase a lot of new and finished client’s pieces on my instagram: @petal_preservation. You can also email me at petalpreservation@gmail.com
DL: What has started this business meant to you?
TJ: It has been such a wonderful experience starting my own business and watching it grow. Throughout this fulfilling journey I’ve had the opportunity to preserve so many important moments and/or memories for my clients. I take an immense amount of pride in the craft and love being able to work all day with flowers. As I continue to expand, I’m actively seeking collaboration and partnership opportunities with other local businesses.
