Foundation for Eden Prairie Schools Red & Black Gala

On April 12th, 2024, the Foundation for Eden Prairie Schools (FEPS) held their annual Red & Black Gala. Approximately 200 guests attended for an evening of fine dining, live music, general merriment, and support for the greatest cause there is: Eden Prairie students!

“It was a wonderful evening at Bearpath Golf & Country Club,” said Dr. Lisa Sisinni, executive director of FEPS. “Spotty-fi, a band formed by Central Middle School band director Ben Anderson, played a magnificent set that kept guests entertained all night long. Our online and live auctions, which featured items including a guitar signed by Taylor Swift and a trip for two to the Dominican Republic, helped us raise over $55,000 for Eden Prairie Schools and our own grant programs. But most beautiful of all were our Legacy Awards, in which we honored over 150 outstanding teachers, staff, students, volunteers, alumni and community members who contribute to the success and excellent reputation of our school district.

“We capped off the evening by announcing the winning proposal for our $100,000 grant. After multiple community members proposed the idea of teaching tomorrow’s leaders in AI and robotics, we worked with the Eden Prairie School District to see what would best fit their mission and vision, and decided to award the grant for the construction of Eden Prairie High School’s new emerging technologies lab. Dr. Josh Swanson graciously accepted the check on behalf of the district, to much applause.

“We thank every generous member of our community who made the evening possible, and are already looking forward to next year’s Red & Black Gala!”
