Ever wish you could follow your dreams?

Keri Lann took that wish and made it reality last year, launching One Floral Touch.

“After my wedding in June 2024, I searched locally for someone highly skilled in floral preservation to press my bouquet, but I struggled to find an expert I could fully trust with something so meaningful,” said Lann. “That challenge planted the idea that maybe this was something I could learn to do. I’ve always been creative and hands-on, and I wanted to be able to translate those skills into my career.”

Lann pursued her dream wholeheartedly — even flying solo across the country for one-on-one, extensive training from a floral preservation expert. Soon, she chose to step away from her career as a pediatric speech therapist to pour her heart into her work at One Floral Touch.

And that work doesn’t just include bridal bouquets and wedding flowers.

“I love pressing flowers that celebrate life’s many milestones — nursery pieces for expecting mothers, delicate pink or blue blooms for gender reveals, anniversary arrangements, engagement flowers, birthday bouquets and even Mother’s Day blooms. My goal is to help people hold on to those fleeting, beautiful moments in a timeless way,” she explained.

Lann said the level of care she puts into each flower makes her work unique, with each bloom deconstructed, pressed, color corrected and reconstructed. “This process allows the flowers to hold their natural color and beauty over time.”

Recently, she worked on a very meaningful project  — a 30x40 frame for a mother of the groom. “She asked me to preserve all the florals from the rehearsal dinner. I just think that’s such a beautiful sentiment, not only as a way to honor her son’s wedding, but also as a piece she can treasure, and one day pass down to her son and daughter-in-law.”

Lann also reflected on what she’s thankful for this Thanksgiving.

“I’m most thankful for my husband. He’s my biggest supporter, reminding me it’s worth chasing after something I truly love. From the beginning, he’s been cheering me on, giving me the confidence to build this dream. I couldn’t be more grateful for his encouragement in this season of life.”
