It’s no secret that the need to wear a mask in 2020 changed the way we wear makeup. Eyes became the main focus so it is no surprise that lash extensions are a big trend for 2021.
For those who are not big fans of spending big bucks on extensions, I have good news; traditional cat eyeliner and a touch of mascara never go out of fashion. Effortless makeup is the way to go during this time and if that means that we shift our focus from wearing foundation to just wearing moisturizer and day cream, even better! Big makeup brands predict 2021 to be a year of bold lip colors, but who wants to spend money on lipsticks if we might not even get a chance to show them off? Not me!
However, if you like the idea of bold colors, you can easily apply them to your eyes. Creativity has no limits!
Bold Eyes
- Bold eyeliner + Cat Eyes
- 80’s colors, shiny eyeshadow, artistic graphic designs on lids
- Lashes extensions + colored mascara
Eyebrows
- Focus on shape, eyebrows define the whole face
- Fill in sparse brows with a pencil or cream brow filler – my favorite is Dipbrow Pomade from Anastasia Beverly Hills
- Use a small thin brush, outline the top of the brow, blend toward the bottoms and outline the bottom of your brow accordingly to create a natural look
Zoom Meetings
Zoom meetings aren’t going away any time soon, so follow these tips to put your best face forward for a polished look in under 5 minutes.
- CC cream or light foundation is a great choice to provide light coverage and look fresh
- Rose blush provides a nice touch of healthy color
- Finish the look with a simple touch of eyeliner, mascara, and tinted lip balm or gloss.
