From Concept to Completion

How Baltazar Stone's one-stop shop has served Omaha and beyond for decades.

Oftentimes the best businesses are born from frustration and Baltazar Sauceda owner of Baltazar Stone is the first to agree. Located in Omaha, Sauceda explains that a lack of quality product and the pressing need to find it led him to take matters into his own hands and open his own business.

“I decided to fabricate natural stone because I saw an opportunity.”  Sauceda says. “There was lots of demand for it and it was so hard to get.”

A long-time mason by trade, Sauceda harnessed the customer’s desire for engineered stone and skilled installers to form a company that has thrived for nearly three decades. Originally established in Des Moines, Iowa, Sauceda moved his company to Omaha in 2005. “There’s so much here in Omaha,” he explains. “You don’t have to go too far to find what you’re looking for.”

Crafted Around Your Vision

In Omaha, Sauceda was able to construct a state-of-the-art twenty thousand square foot facility that manufactures and installs natural stone from start to finish. An all-inclusive stop, clients can conceptualize and design their dreams in Baltazar Stone’s sizable showroom, knowing that the team will cut the stone to order and preference. No request is too big for the crew. Rustic or refined, decorative or practical, classic or contemporary, his artisans can do it all.

“Our customers love the fact that we can create multiple colors of stone and textures. They can really design whatever they want.” Sauceda remarks. “We have the capability and skills to custom cut in house. You want to put stone all across your home? We can do that.”

Whether it’s the fireplace, the kitchen area, a backsplash. You name it, Sauceda and his team can and do fabricate anything and everything for their customers.

Also customizable is the price point. Baltazar Stone serves a wide array of budgeting needs. “We have so many options because everything is designed to be tailored to the vision of our clients.” Sauceda explains.

A Time-Tested Team

Other similar companies have popped up over the years, but Baltazar Stone has stood the test of time. Sauceda believes their fully custom fabrication facility has set them apart from all other competitors, adding “Most of our competitors purchase their custom materials from us because they don’t have the ability, infrastructure or manpower to produce it themselves like we do. We stayed true to our mission for so many years and that’s what’s bringing the success now.” Sauceda explains.

Over time, Baltazar Stone has expanded out into much of the Midwest, distributing to Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri and Kansas. Easily completing installation projects within a 250-mile radius and serving both residential and commercial clients.

Today, Sauceda oversees a group of craftsmen, both family (including two of his own sons) and skilled installers, saying, “We have on staff about twenty employees and ten sub-contractors. Its family operated, for sure but we’re grateful for the many employees that we call family too.”

Years of hands-on experience has developed them into a team with a solid understanding of structural requirements, visual balance and attention to detail.

The harmony of the operation and the team really matters. Sauceda emphasizes, “You have to set up a very complex system, which is the equipment and the building itself, but I also believe that part of the infrastructure is having the right personnel; they are an investment.”

Built to Last

Voted Best of Omaha in 2025, it’s clear that Sauceda enjoys growing his craft and company in the Heartland. Each project helps to build and enhance the homes found in the local community where his team live and work themselves.

In the future, Sauceda would love to open a storefront and expand distribution to a dozen more states. But for now, he sees Omaha as the long-term home for Baltazar Stone.

‘We have done so many beautiful, cool projects in the Omaha area. Omaha is a great place to live. I love it here.”

Have a project you've been dreaming about? Sauceda and his team would love to help bring your vision to life.
