There are times in our lives when we meet someone and from the first moment you feel like you have known them for a lifetime. There is one person in our local business community, Crissy DeArmond, that embodies that spirit and stands out as a shining example in our community. A former nurse turned entrepreneur, Crissy owner of Revive IV Therapy and Shot Bar, shares her inspiring journey of establishing and growing her business while making many contributions to the community she holds dear.
Her drive to become an entrepreneur stemmed from her desire to help others heal and feel better but in a much more personal way. “As a nurse, I’ve always felt the need to make a positive impact. This business has allowed me to do just that, and so much more,” she explains. It wasn’t always easy, the initial stages of her business were challenging, in fact, “Getting started was the toughest part. Being new to entrepreneurship had a steep learning curve.” Crissy recalls.
Despite these obstacles, Crissy’s business began to thrive. She found that genuine connection and word of mouth referrals were instrumental in expanding her clientele and community reach. “Building trust and relationships has been key. Slowly but steadily, my business grew,” she notes. This genuine connection is what I felt the moment I walked through her doors at the gym she currently resides in.
She started her business by offering mobile IV treatments but through her long-standing friendship with Aldo of Aldo’s Gym, Crissy was able to have a place for her clients to come. Eventually, she hopes to expand and offer a larger space in order to help more clients in the future.
Crissy's commitment extends beyond personal success; she is deeply invested in giving back to her community. Through her business, she sponsors school events, supports her church, and provides essential services, such as IV therapy, to those in need.
One such time is when she offered to make the Opas and Oma’s feel their best Crissy offered a special Wurst IV. She plans to offer again being that the Wurstfest holds many special memories for her, including having her baby boy, born during Wurstfest 2009. She says, “Prost to Thomas!”
At the core of Crissy's business philosophy are values of authenticity, compassion, and dedication. "Being genuine and working wholeheartedly are non-negotiables for me. I believe in making a positive difference, no matter how small," she emphasizes.
She knows at the end of the day she has to make the best decisions for her clients to make them feel at their peak. She once had a client that after initial examination she had to refer them to the hospital. With her quick and decisive insight, the client was found to have pneumonia and her efforts could’ve likely hurt her patient and client. It makes a huge difference knowing what signs to look for in your clients and Crissy was able to help client feel their best in the end.
Balancing her business, philanthropy, and family commitments, Crissy credits her supportive husband whom is her rock and best friend, she says he truly makes it so much easier to handle. As well as her evolving perspective on life. "Life is precious. Finding peace and contentment amidst the chaos is paramount," she reflects.
As a female business owner, Crissy aims to empower other women entrepreneurs, dispelling notions of insurmountable obstacles. "I hope to inspire young women to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. With determination and support, anything is possible," she affirms.
Looking ahead, Crissy remains focused on service and faith. "Each day brings new opportunities. I aspire to make a positive impact on even more lives in the coming years," she concludes, embodying the spirit of a compassionate and impactful businesswoman in our community.
