There’s a new beauty destination drawing insiders to San Vicente—and it feels as though a little piece of Paris has quietly arrived on the westside. Tucked inside the buzzy new development The Lawn, the recently opened Maison Sisley brings the iconic French beauty house’s signature blend of luxury, wellness and botanical expertise to Brentwood in an intimate, highly elevated setting. Equal parts skincare sanctuary, Parisian boutique and lifestyle experience, the space marks Sisley Paris’ first California boutique and sixth freestanding location in the United States.

For Sisley, the location felt like a natural fit. “Los Angeles has always been such a strong market for us, and The Lawn in Brentwood offers the perfect setting for the brand, bringing together luxury and community in one place,” says James Maki, President of Sisley Paris USA. “The clientele is engaged, wellness-minded and deeply aligned with what Sisley stands for, making it a very natural next step.” Designed as an indoor-outdoor destination centered around wellness, luxury retail and community, The Lawn has quickly become one of the westside’s most talked-about new developments. Alongside Maison Sisley, upcoming concepts include cult-favorite café Community Goods, while rumors continue to swirl about a possible Sant Ambroeus opening—an ideal pairing for the storied French brand.

Founded in Paris in 1976 by Isabelle and Hubert d’Ornano, Sisley has long occupied a rarefied place in the beauty world, revered for combining scientific innovation with phytotherapy and aromatherapy—using botanical extracts and essential oils to create exceptionally effective skincare. Now led by the founders’ son, Philippe d’Ornano, the family-owned company has built an intensely loyal following around the globe over the decades, becoming synonymous with luxurious formulations, meticulous craftsmanship and understated French elegance.

That heritage is woven thoughtfully throughout the Brentwood Maison. At 1,120 square feet, the space balances that classic elegance with the airy warmth and ease that define contemporary Los Angeles living. Affectionately nicknamed the “Petite Maison,” the intimate outpost was envisioned as a refined one-stop beauty destination. “The decor for each Maison around the world is hand selected by the d’Ornano family and tailored to each city where it is located,” says Maki. “The Maison at The Lawn was designed with the Los Angeles customer in mind, blending our Parisian heritage with the California lifestyle to create a truly elevated beauty experience.”

Inside, the boutique feels transportive from the moment guests walk through the doors. An illuminated hand-painted lampshade by Elzbieta Radziwill—niece of Sisley’s founders—is emblazoned with the words “City of Stars,” while sculptural golden Ginkgo leaves behind the front desk trace the Maison’s signature “S.” Soft lighting, warm neutral tones and intimate seating areas create the feeling of a private Parisian apartment rather than a traditional beauty boutique. A dedicated consultation table allows for personalized skincare and makeup guidance, while a tucked-away fragrance lounge invites guests to linger and discover the house’s signature scents.

Beyond the retail space, two private treatment rooms offer what may be the Maison’s most luxurious experience. Decorated with hand-painted “Cellules” wallpaper inspired by legendary French designer Jacques-Émile Ruhlmann and created by the renowned Atelier d’Offard, the rooms feel serene, cocoon-like and deeply transporting. Installations of Ginkgo leaves—a key ingredient in Sisley’s iconic Sisleÿa collection—add another layer of symbolism and texture. Even the bathroom continues the storytelling, wrapped in a collage of archival Sisley press clippings and advertisements that quietly celebrate the house’s illustrious history.

The Maison was intentionally designed to showcase every facet of the Sisley universe—from skincare and makeup to fragrance and Hair Rituel by Sisley—allowing clients to experience the brand holistically under one roof. There are even dedicated hair stations for blowouts and styling and personalized consultation areas. “What makes this space so special is that customers can enjoy a complete beauty experience all in one visit,” Maki explains. “You can receive a signature facial and a blow-dry and styling all in one place. We also provide makeup application services for special occasions.”

Among the standout offerings are Sisley’s highly specialized facial treatments, each tailored to specific skincare concerns. Signature experiences include the Black Rose Radiance Facial featuring a pink quartz stone massage, the Sisleÿa anti-aging facial with Ginkgo Gua Sha, an exclusive anti-aging facial for men featuring basalt stones and the Phyto-Blanc treatment designed to target radiance and dark spots. The Maison also offers the full breadth of Sisley’s coveted product universe, from its iconic skincare and color cosmetics to fragrances, candles and home essentials. Shelves are lined with the brand’s cult-favorite collections, phyto-powered anti-aging treatments and elegant makeup compacts, alongside luxurious hand washes, lotions and scented candles that make equally chic hostess or housewarming gifts. The boutique’s intimate scale allows clients to discover the offerings in a far more personal and immersive way than a traditional department store counter.

The Hair Rituel by Sisley program is another major draw, extending the brand’s holistic philosophy into scalp and haircare through luxurious treatments, blowouts and styling services. Launched in 2018, the line applies Sisley Paris’ expertise in plant extracts, essential oils, vitamins and minerals to hair and scalp health—bringing the same elevated approach to beauty from head to toe. Clients can also reserve the Maison for private events, beauty workshops and intimate gatherings, adding another layer of exclusivity and community to the experience.

Ultimately, however, what makes the Brentwood Maison feel so compelling is the way it balances luxury with intimacy. Despite Sisley’s global prestige, the Petite Maison feels warm, personal and distinctly neighborhood-oriented—very much in keeping with Brentwood itself. And for a brand rooted in Parisian beauty culture, that sense of community was intentional. “Brentwood is our sixth boutique in the U.S., but it is certainly not our last,” says Maki. “We’re excited to continue growing our footprint and bringing the Maison Sisley experience to more top cities across North America.” For now, though, Brentwood gets to enjoy this little piece of Paris all to itself.
