Repair types range from simple repairs such as sizing, soldering, and rhodium plating, to more complex repairs working with platinum, diamonds, and heirloom gemstones.
Unique to Griffin's on-site repair service is laser beam welding, a technique used to join pieces of metal through the use of a laser. The beam provides a concentrated heat source that fuses metals, creating an incredibly strong bond. This process allows Griffin's jewelers to make repairs that cannot be made by hand. The welder is extremely precise, utilizing the same technology used for critical eye surgery. The welder allows the jeweler to work directly adjacent to precious gemstones with no fear of overheating them.
Griffin also offers watch repair on most brands, including Rolex. In most cases, simple fixes like battery replacement and link removal are performed while you wait. Free repair estimates are available upon request.
Griffin Jewelry has a GIA certified appraiser on-site for jewelry and watch appraisals once a month to round out their service offerings. It is recommended that you bring your jewelry in for cleaning and inspection the day before your scheduled appraisal. The work is performed on-site and may be picked up the same day.
