Fun at The Fetchington

How Pups Are Being Pampered at a Local Luxury Pet Hotel

The Fetchington is a boutique-style, luxury pet hotel and daycare focused on the best possible experience for pets and pet parents. Owners Tonia and Josh Wheeler converted a historic home built in 1901, creating a home-away-from-home for pets. They have nearly an acre of outdoor play space as well as a separate climate-controlled building for daycare fun and activities, making it a true all-star experience. As they celebrate their third anniversary this month, we asked them some questions that all pet owners have on their minds when finding pet accommodations, and they were happy to help.

What type of overnight accommodations do you offer?

We designed our pet hotel with your dog's comfort in mind. By being in a house rather than a warehouse or retail space, your dog is pampered with all the comforts, sound and smells of home. We only have 15 custom built suites so your dog is assured to get lots of personal attention. We include group play, 1:1 time and potty calls with our overnight stays.

What makes your daycare program different from others?

Daycare is a place for social dogs to be social. We only take 20 dogs for daycare per day and we divide our playgroups by size, temperament and play style. We require reservations so we can guarantee to keep our playgroups small.

What do I need to know about your staff?

The health and safety of your dog is our number one priority. We require and pay for our employment candidates to have a professional background check and drug screen before they can gain employment with The Fetchington. In addition, our staff is trained by the renowned experts at The Dog Gurus, who offers a great curriculum in safe off-leash dog play. Our staff are interactive with the dogs, guiding, leading and helping them have fun in a safe, controlled environment.
