Blending ingredients, concocting flavors, inventing techniques. A taste of fusion cuisine delivers surprising results.
From bold flavors that complement perfectly, to traditional ingredients that play well with others, being known as an innovative kitchen in our ever-changing culinary landscape is no small feat.
Yet, Fusion Grill steps up to the challenge, and doesn’t hold back when it comes to delivering unexpected results and memorable experiences in their Katy eatery. They even change their menu every six months so flavors never go stale.
Led by mastermind, master mixer and owner Tony Montiel, the sense of handcrafted pride that goes into creating each dish is apparent.
One glance at the menu might pop out some traditional staples, but digging deeper, these elements are anything but.
Take their burgers. Meat, cheese, bun and done, right?
Well, not for Tony. Mediocre is not in his vocabulary. Possibly named after himself, the Mr. Fusion Burger starts simple enough with an 8oz Angus patty, but then come the toppings. Fried sweet plantains. Crispy potato stix and crispy bacon. Finished with their house cilantro sauce.
An American favorite, with a fusion twist.
And that kind of pairing profiles is what you’ll see throughout their extensive menu.
Tacos topped with jerk chicken and grilled pineapple.
Seasoned fries sprinkled with pulled brisket and chipotle sauce.
Flame-Grilled hot dogs drizzled with cream cheese, fried onions and sriracha.
Grilled octopus sautéed with tomatoes, red onion and chimichurri sauce.
Tastes range across the board, and so does their creativity.
Turning the culinary journey into a blank canvas, with possibilities as limitless as the ingredients themselves.
And sweet tooths don’t fret - their dessert menu is just as impressive. With creamy, house-made offerings like caramel Flan, Golden Biscoff Cookie with vanilla ice cream and dolce de leche, their Matilda Chocolate Cake layered with crumbled pistachio and pistachio creme, and their decadent Basque Cheesecake with a caramelized top and berry jam topping.
Tony’s restaurant background spans two decades, and traveling all over the country in search of the perfect burger. From big names like Gordon Ramsey’s Las Vegas entree, to the iconic Emmy Burger from Emily’s in New York City, his dream is to take home the title of Best Burger in all of Houston.
And starting from humble beginnings in his food truck, and hand crafting all ingredients and sauces from scratch every day - the passion and quality speak for themselves.
Even walking into their breathtaking dining space you’ll see elements of speakeasy vibes meet welcoming, colorful blooms and quirky decor. A little peek into something unexpected. Just like the menu.
Taking the term family business from the ground up to heart, you can find Tony here in the kitchen everyday. Ensuring that every dish is something fresh, delicious and memorable.
Years in the making, hours in the kitchen, moments that were once just a dream and now play out in real time.
A perfect fusion of craft and flavors.
