In the heart of Washington, D.C., GAIA Supperclub brings dining, cocktails and entertainment together in a setting inspired by the Mediterranean and Latin worlds. GAIA is the latest evolution from hospitality veterans Wayne Johnson and Tony Perry, alongside partners Mele Melton and Johannes Dzidzienyo. Johnson and Perry bring years of experience creating some of Washington's most recognizable hospitality and nightlife concepts, including Saint Yves, Abigail and Llamabar.
With GAIA, the ownership group set out to create something more immersive: a destination where exceptional dining could naturally transition into an unforgettable night out. The inspiration came largely through travel. Experiences along European coastlines and throughout Latin America introduced the partners to a style of hospitality where dinner isn't simply a precursor to nightlife - it is part of it.
GAIA translates that spirit to Washington through an atmosphere where "old-world soul meets contemporary sophistication." Entertainment is central to the experience. Depending on the evening, guests may encounter live DJs, musicians, saxophonists and performers, allowing the energy of the restaurant to build as dinner progresses. GAIA's Sunday Ambrosia Brunch brings that philosophy into the daytime with food, cocktails and live entertainment.
The menu follows the same cross-cultural approach. Mediterranean traditions meet bold Latin flavors in dishes such as lamb empanadas, harissa grilled octopus, Mediterranean-style branzino, churrasco-inspired skirt steak and Gambas al Ajillo.
The cocktail program continues the journey with ingredients ranging from guava and tamarind to plantain-infused mezcal. Named for the Greek goddess of Earth, GAIA is ultimately about bringing different worlds together - food and nightlife, Mediterranean and Latin influences, elegance and energy.
