The Old Farmer’s Almanac three-month rolling forecast for December, January and February predicts a normal winter in Southeast Idaho, and a 33% chance of above normal precipitation in Northern Idaho and the northern tip of Eastern Idaho.

Of all the phrases in Holiday retail season, none may be as important this year as these three words: Homegrown Customer Experience. Ensuring shoppers have a safe and positive experience this season is a vital component for any Treasure Valley business and it’s no exaggeration to say it’s doubly important for stores who cater to the winter enthusiast crowd. And for a family friendly Idaho deal: The Idaho Ski Areas Association offers the Idaho Peak Season Passport allowing 5th graders to ride three days for free at all 18 Gem State ski resorts and offers 6th graders two days free at 17 mountains. It is open to any child from any state or country --  not just Idaho kids. So let’s ski well, be well, see you on the slopes!

SKI HAUS

From “Park to Pow”, the BoardRoom is the headquarters of boards! The Boardroom was founded in 1995 in a small, single-room building with a tune-up space. The Boardroom has since expanded carrying a broad selection of skateboards, wakeboards, and apparel brands and footwear. in 2017, the Boardroom opened up a second location in McCall, Idaho.

ECO LOUNGE

Established in 2004, the Eco Lounge has is an all-season sport store. Transitioning from offering paddle boards and fly fishing gear, the shop’s winter selection is expansive with alpine, freeride, snow boarding and backcountry skiing accessories.
