In the heart of Milford where the beloved Howard Johnson’s once stood, a new era of luxury automotive experience has emerged. Genesis of Milford, the newest flagship showroom for the premium car brand Genesis, is redefining what it means to buy — and experience — a vehicle. And just like the iconic roadside stop that came before it, this location aims to become a destination in its own right.
The dealership is situated just off Interstate 95, at the gateway to Milford. For many in the community, this prime location is more than just convenient — it’s meaningful. “What better way to establish ourselves than to be part of a landmark location like Howard Johnson’s was for a very long time?” says C.J. Bianco, Sales Manager at Genesis of Milford. “This location has always brought positivity to the community, and we’re honored to carry that legacy forward.”
Open for a year now, the showroom celebrated its official grand opening on June 10 of this year. But it’s already making waves not just in Connecticut, but across the East Coast. As Genesis’s flagship location – the only one of its kind – every new Genesis dealership is modeled after this one.
Inside, customers and staff alike are greeted by a luxurious environment designed for comfort and connection. “Whether you're a client or a team member, this location has everything you could want,” C.J. explains. “From the beautiful showroom and new service department to high-end amenities like TVs, premium lighting and sound, snacks, and coffee machines — it's all part of the Genesis experience.”
Genesis, whose name fittingly means “the beginning,” takes pride in presenting their vehicles in a space that mirrors the quality of their engineering. With modern designs, cutting-edge technology, and unmatched warranties — including an industry-leading million-mile powertrain warranty — Genesis vehicles are built for longevity and performance.
One of the newest additions to their lineup is the 2025 GV80 Coupe, a striking fastback edition that’s already turning heads. “It’s the first year for the GV80 Coupe, and it’s a game changer,” C.J. says. “It’s got a 3.5-liter twin-turbo engine with electronic supercharging, all-wheel drive, and a luxurious finish. The car is engineered to make you feel planted — like you’re part of the vehicle.”
But what truly sets Genesis of Milford apart is the philosophy behind the experience. The dealership has removed the traditional desk-at-the-door model in favor of a more welcoming, pressure-free environment. “When you walk in, you feel at ease. We’re not just here to sell you a car; we’re here to build relationships. Whether you buy a car or not, we want to have that conversation.”
The staff at Genesis confirms this philosophy, taking pride in their team and the training they receive. “I really believe in the product,” says Client Advisor Tricia LaSasso-McNary. “As staff members, we’ve become product specialists for Genesis; we actually care about the brand and care about the car.”
That approach extends into the community as well. Genesis of Milford is committed to being more than just a business — they’re advocates for the city itself. “Milford is phenomenal,” C.J. says. Once you come here and see what this town has to offer, you can’t help wanting to be part of it. We’re here for the long haul and we want to make sure Milford knows we are part of the community.”
As Genesis of Milford settles into its role as both a local landmark and a regional leader in luxury automotive, one thing is clear: this is just the beginning.
