Jake Edmunds, founder and owner of Get It Gone Moving and Removal Services, started his business in 2004 in New Hampshire with a pickup truck, a borrowed trailer, and $50 to register the business name. Through hard work, determination, and a tireless devotion to customer service, Jake has developed a loyal following. Get It Gone's focus is to instill trust in their customers, and the team is friendly, caring and pays close attention to detail. Jake and his team treat their clients like family. As Jake says, "We don't just want a customer, we want a customer for life. We really want our clients to know that we are here for them. From pricing, to every detail of the job, we are honest and straightforward. We never surprise you with added expenses. For us, this business is about building lasting relationships."

Along with his wife and business partner, Patti, the company's Director of Operations, Jake opened a second location in Venice five years ago. Not only was the business opportunity appealing but the lifestyle and great weather made this an easy decision for these entrepreneurs. With no job too small, Get It Gone removes old furniture, does complete household moves with a special focus on Senior Relocation and Moving services, assists realtors in staging properties, and offers concierge-style attention and care to its clients and their belongings. Even if you just need furniture moved around within your home, Get It Gone is your solution. Get It Gone also offers long-distance moving with the same attention to detail as all of their other services.

"Whatever our clients need done, we do it professionally, carefully and efficiently," Jake explains. "Our entire team understands how stressful and challenging moves can be for our clients and their family members and we are always there to help. We enjoy what we do, we go the extra mile, and we've seen the results in how our business has grown just through word of mouth." With Get It Gone on your side, you'll have a great time with Jake and his trustworthy team while watching your old furniture 'Get Gone,' or your current furniture 'Get Moved'.

Jake has focused a lot of energy on giving back to the community. He partners with charities and nonprofits like Habitat for Humanity, Big Brother/Big Sister, Blessing Thrift Store and Bikes for Vets, to name a few. Get It Gone is always looking for outlets for items that they remove that still have some life left in them. When the Covid 19 pandemic hit Get It Gone took the initiative to donate thousands of surgical face masks and hundreds of Tyvek suits to medical facilities like Sarasota Memorial and Venice Bayfront Regional Hospital as well as hospitals in New Hampshire and the Greater Boston area. Get It Gone also organized a massive initiative to support frontline workers at Venice Bayfront Regional Hospital, along with over 20 fellow business owners in the area that donated over $2000 to feed the hospital staff in the middle of the Covid crisis. Partnering with Sharky's on the Pier and Ciao Gelato, the entire staff at VBRH was able to enjoy delicious food and recharge.
