Organized spaces not only look nice, which is good for our mental well-being, but they also have lots of other benefits. Being able to locate items quickly saves time, and having things in their proper places allows for better function of a home. But, many people don’t have the energy or skills to create these spaces.
Enter Leydi (pronounced Lady) Rofman, who founded The Organized Leydi in 2022 in order to follow her passion for utilizing her unique organizational style to establish a cohesive flow throughout a room or an entire home. “My work extends beyond creating functional and pretty spaces,” she says. “I focus on addressing the root causes of clutter and helping clients achieve emotional transformations.”
She and her small, hand-picked staff handle jobs as simple as organizing a laundry room to unpacking and organizing a whole house. “I'm on every job because organizing is what I love doing, but I also know that everybody has their own strengths,” she says. “One of my staff members is the folding queen, so she will fold clothes beautifully and even give clients demonstrations on how to do it themselves. Another staff member is really good at organizing pantries, while another is great working with kids’ and teenagers’ stuff. It's a total team effort.”
Lorraine from Short Hills comments, “Leydi is the best! Whether you have your own vision for organization, or you are at a total loss and just need her to step in, Leydi is up to the task. She is upbeat, pleasant to be around, and resourceful!”
Some changes may sound easy, but clients don’t often think of them on their own. “We literally want to know if our client is right handed or left,” she says. “If they’re the ones cooking, and they’re right handed, then their cooking tools should be on the right side. Or, if they take vitamins in the morning, they should put the bottle right next to their coffee.
Leydi’s other tips include ‘don't put it down, put it away’ - everything should have a home. Also, place things by the front door that you need to take with you. She has so many helpful suggestions for every person and lifestyle.
She and her team service a wide-spread area including Northern New Jersey, Westchester County, NY, and New York City.
“We do some amazing transformations,” says Leydi. “I'm a very empathetic person, and I put myself in my clients’ shoes. I can see the struggle, and I don't want them to struggle.”
