Boots showcased on the cover of this Style edition were custom-made in Cock of the Walk Designs in Mexico for First Lady of McKinney Maylee Thomas. The boot company's staff indicate they pride themselves on quality and originality. Because the majority of their products are hand-tooled and hand-painted, there are no two exactly the same. Their designs are "inspired by the beauty of the environment, bringing in a little history, culture and a lot of spirit." Carrie Cameron, the designer and artist, also uses her paintings as inspiration to create art that can be worn. Within their boot business, they reportedly create one-of-a-kind designs for entertainers, business owners with logos, brides, grooms and uniquely fashionable individuals.
