Gift-Giving Guide

Choose a Thoughtful Gift from our Selection of Local Favorites from our Neighborhood Businesses

Selecting the perfect gift can be one of the most rewarding and also one of the most stressful things on the holiday to-do list. Some are blessed with the natural talent of thoughtful gift-giving; some are not. As our list of recipients grows, so does the anxiety surrounding the age-old question, “What should I give?”

The obvious answer to the dilemma usually equals cash, but that solution negates the adage, “It’s the thought that counts.” Putting some thought into our gifts is usually the best solution. Asking some of these questions may help. How do they like to relax? What do they like to do in their free time? Are they more practical, or do they like to indulge? Is there something you could give that would create an experience or allow you to spend time together? Talking about these ideas with your friends and loved ones is a great way to really score big without having them make a list.

For our gift guide this year, we reached out to local businesses for suggestions and have collected some examples of items that will hopefully get your creative juices flowing. Gift-giving can be a great experience and a way to really show you care. Are you up to the challenge? Good luck and happy hunting!
