I’m an Arizona native and a family, editorial, wedding and high school senior portrait photographer as well as a mentor. I started photography as a hobby in 2002, but never really considered it as a career. I was just having fun and taking pretty pictures. In 2013, I found myself unemployed and looking for a change. Jumping into an over saturated market with little to no direction was scary, but I decided to give this photography thing everything I had, and the rest is history. Early on, I specialized in teen and high school senior portraits. This quickly led to editorial and styled sessions. Having artistic direction over each session was a ton of fun and a great creative outlet.

Now I shoot all types of sessions. I especially love working with models in the studio and traveling out of town with couples. I have met 100’s of amazing families and clients over the past 7 years. I love making people laugh and making woman feel beautiful, even if they don’t necessary see it at the time. I treat every session as an experience, capturing the real moments of families being together and genuine interaction. I’m honored to work with Gilbert families as it’s my home too!

Photography is everything to me, aside from my husband and children, it’s my entire life. I tell my students before I start mentoring them, “this is all I do. It’s all I know.” Its a part of who I am. I love my job and I love each person that has been a part of this journey with me. www.lindsayborgphoto.com

Reghan Lanning

In her senior year of high school, Reghan Lanning has taken on a demanding schedule. Incorporating school, work, and dance into a twenty-four hour day is no simple task, but is necessary to support her passion. Lanning discovered her love of dance at about eleven years old, and once she found it, it stuck. She began on a performing company for two years, then began a competitive team in middle school. After eighth grade, she decided a change was needed, and  moved to her current studio. Lanning’s passion for dance was reignited, and she found her place on the Company Plus team. She take class every night, varying from three to six hours, and rehearses for seven hours on Saturdays.

This past season of dance has brought her many successes, such as the Senior National Prodigy title with NRG Convention, and National Top 20 Senior Core Performer with Radix Dance, and she is excited and humbled to see what the future brings.

This year with her team, Lanning will be attending five conventions, which consist of three days of classes ranging from three to ten hours a day, seven competitions, two traveling conventions for her NRG title, and two Las Vegas Nationals, each eight days long. On top of this, she will be traveling to San Francisco, Boston, and New York for college program auditions. Considering her dance schedule, her time is always spread thin. She works hard to maintain her 4.0 GPA, as well as hold a job where she works fifteen to twenty hours a week. Lanning’s schedule teaches her excellent time-management skills, as well as the effort it takes to pursue your dreams. Reghan Lanning has worked hard to get to where she is today, and does not plan on stopping now!

Svetik Sambell

"Being an artist, I am always driven to create something beautiful. I possess the God given ability to deliver something that is aesthetically pleasing; combining different colors, textures and shapes while visualizing my future creations beginning from a free hand sketch.

Nature, people’s characters, beautiful fabrics and laces inspire me to create. Designing is a lifestyle, and it is a part of my soul.  I enjoy exploring something new, I love to innovate and I am inspired by famous artists, painters and designers widely recognized and appreciated.

I enjoy styling people, showcasing their beautiful looks, changing their body shapes by creating attractive, fashionable and yet classy looking silhouettes. It allows me to create new cutting edge styles and designs.

I feel that it is very important to apply the art of designs and aesthetics to underline the natural beauty of my customers, ether by creating a wedding dress, red carpet gowns, or prom dresses combined with haute couture accessories.

My goal is always to design unique one of a kind dress, which is not only aesthetically pleasing but functional as well.  Svetik was born in the USSR. Being an Artist by birth, at the age of eleven, she graduated from simple Barbie doll dresses to her first custom gown design.  Svetik specializes in designing beautiful, one-of-a-kind wedding dresses and special event gowns in her location in Gilbert. www.svetiks.com

Elaine Kessler

Life is fleeting; photos keep people and places alive and close to the heart. I have been fortunate to travel to different places and even more fortunate to have captured some of those places so that they may always be with me, no matter where on the planet I am. In November of 2019, I took my family to Chiang Mai, Thailand. My mother, originally from Thailand, my partner, originally from the states, and my children, US born and raised, experienced with me Loy Krathong and Yi Peng, local festivals celebrating the release of the past and the welcome to new auspicious beginnings. Beautiful paper lanterns filled the city of Chiang Mai with color and vibrance. People were celebrating with well wishes and positive affirmations everywhere we went. The mood was uplifting and the people were spirited and fun.

In Thailand, we celebrated our lives together with many tremendously delicious meals; a day of jungle trekking and caring for noble and majestic elephants; multiple and meaningful temple visits; and several sacred moments of reflection and gratitude. It was a trip I’ll never forget and through these photos, I will relive over and over. The simplicity of life in Thailand, regardless of how different and gritty it can appear, is a treasured point of view for this American born westerner.

One evening, on a festive boat ride, we created krathongs from flowers and candles and set them free in the river amidst thousands of other homemade lanterns. While the photos don’t do it proper justice, they do serve as vivid reminders of an experience we were able to share as a family.  Photography is a way to express your love and sentiment toward the world; it is also a way to preserve and honor that love and sentiment for all time. elainekesslerphotography.com
