Stephanie founded Estilo in late 2004 after winding down her child and family therapy practice.
What she loves about working in fashion? As a therapist, I focused my efforts on helping people work through challenging situations and find their strength and voice. I was drawn towards clothing at a young age and I realized that I could combine my love of people and clothing into a business. Every day at Estilo, we help people to feel confident in their style and have an enjoyable, authentic experience through a store and staff that is warm and inviting.
When not working: As the owner of a business that's open 7 days a week and online as well, sometimes it feels like you're never really not working. But because I truly love what I do, it doesn't feel like work. It’s a weird addiction. When I do shut it down, I'm a sucker for a beautiful sunset. I love to sit on the patio and watch the setting sun bring a tranquil close to the day, most likely with a glass of wine in hand.

Lauren’s been doing makeup professionally for 20 years, has a celebrity client roster that runs deep and makes quick Instagram makeup tutorials you’ll appreciate if not try to emulate.
What she loves about make up: I love that makeup transforms, altering your image you can change not only the way you look but then how you feel and how people perceive you. You can be edgy, glamorous, ethereal, masculine, feminine. All of it.
When she knew she wanted to be a makeup artist: I always played with makeup as a young girl, but it wasn’t until my sister told me that she thought it was my path did I even think it was a possibility. Sometimes all someone needs to know us that you believe in them.
A favorite thing to do when not working: I love getting outdoors, taking my kids for walks and connecting with nature.
Melanie Jacobs

Melanie went to Cosmetology school 10 years ago, at the age of 31, after having been a teacher, banker, and then stay at home mom. She now owns three Deep Roots locations.
When she knew hair was her calling: The minute I entered cosmetology school. I spent years in school and doing other jobs but the minute I tried hair it went from feeling like a job to feeling like something I was excited and grateful to wake up and do every day and I knew then I was in the right place.
Best part of her job: The People are the best part of my job! All the relationships I form and the perspective I get after getting to talk and meet so many different people. I go on 4-7 lunch dates a day I say. Creating is a close second. Having a vision and using my hands to make it come to fruition.
When not working: I’m a mom and I love traveling with my kids and just being with them. I also have a couple of side hustles I spend a lot of time on that involves real estate and design.
