Finding mindfulness in the farmyard

Cathi Huff had wanted a horse ever since she was a little girl. After doing some research, Cathi was introduced to Atlantis Dream, a retired thoroughbred racehorse from New York. She brought him home to Milton, renamed him “Bronx,” and gave her property the namesake, “Atlantis Dream Farm.” Of course, Bronx needed friends, so Cathi soon began to welcome an ark's worth of farm animals including goats, pigs, sheep, geese, dogs, cats, and chickens.

One day, while looking out her kitchen window at the abundance of love, peace, and joy, Cathi realized she wanted to share the Atlantis Dream Farm experience with as many people as she could. With certifications in holistic health and wellness coaching, yoga instruction, meditation, mindfulness-based stress reduction and more, Cathi decided to combine her two greatest passions — animals and wellness.

In 2017, a friend suggested to Cathi that she try goat yoga... and Love GOGA Goat Yoga was born right in her backyard. Over time, it evolved and grew organically into a lifestyle of its own, highlighted by engaging animal experiences that help to bring the mind, body and spirit into harmony. In 2020, Cathi added Mindful Seeds to the mix — a wellness lifestyle brand offering a broader scope of mindfulness-based series, workshops, products, and services such as Reiki energy therapy for both people and pets.

Today, due to high demand, most of Love GOGA’s programming takes place out and around the community. Most notably, the bestselling “Farm Animal Yoga on the Green” is held twice per month at Halcyon Forsyth. The groundbreaking series creates opportunities for “Gogis” to mingle with more than just goats. Although animals may vary day-of, guests are likely to meet llamas, pigs, lambs, sheep, and chickens.
