Goat Kick Coffee Company has become wildly popular throughout the CSRA since they first opened their mobile coffee trailer in 2021. Not long after, they opened Goat Kick Coffee Roasters on Belair Road where they serve guests and also where they roast all their coffee beans. Last month, Goat Kick Coffee launched their newest cafe in Evans Town Center.
Jennifer, the co-founder of Goat Kick, previously had a career in the medical industry but was unhappy. Wanting to have a career that made her happy, she decided to go back to being a barista. After talking with Natalie, also a co-founder of Goat Kick and was in a similar situation, they decided to open the mobile coffee trailer. They quickly started working and had to decide on a name. “We discovered the Ethiopian goat herder. We read up on the story and really wanted to come up with a name that was about the legend of coffee. He was observing his goats that were eating off of the coffee cherry tree and he didn’t know what it was. Overnight he started to notice those goats were dancing and kicking around. That’s how we came up with the name Goat Kick,” says Jennifer. “The whole goal of Goat Kick the past two years has been to open this place. This is the dream and we are so excited.”
