Govero Salon announces the reopening of its Clayton location, with beautiful new décor, new services, and an even more unique customer experience.
Robert Govero founded Govero Salons in May 2011 with a dedication to making them the best salons in St. Louis by having the most trained and talented staff, great customer service and giving the most fantastic salon experience.
“With the pandemic, the industry was put to the test over the last couple of years, but Govero Salons has come out on the other side of it stronger than ever…with new innovation and a renewed sense of excitement for the business,” says Rob.
With their newly remodeled store and expanded services, customers enjoy an experience like none other. Rob and his fiancé Maria Sinito, who serves as general manager, are truly dedicated to making the customer experience at Govero Salon as luxurious and enjoyable as possible.
Customers can sip on wine, beer and cocktails while perusing the high-end boutique featuring jewelry from The Diamond Family, as well as an exclusive art exhibit by Chris and Rebecca Sabatino.
“We’re so excited to have The Diamond Family in our salon and especially looking forward to presenting our special event Nov. 16-23, which will feature lots of special pre-holiday discounts on their beautiful jewelry, that is being offered exclusively at Govero Salons,” says Rob.
As Rob looks to the future, he shares several life aspects for which he is most thankful.
“I’m grateful for the great teams we have at both salons, for getting to see my beautiful fiance every day, new relationships like my partnership with City Lifestyle magazines, and especially for the privilege of getting to take care of our clients in the best way possible. Also, I’m glad to be welcoming new stylists to the store.
“My long-time business mentor was John Bell, owner of Jonathan’s Salon in Brentwood. He called me his ‘chosen son’ and became my business partner in developing the Clayton location. He passed away this summer. But now I’m honored to be welcoming his wife, Orene, and her team to join us at the Clayton location and to continue to service their clients at Govero.”
Rob is an award-winning master stylist and expert in the makeup and salon industry. Over the last 33 years, he has worked for several European and American color lines as an educator and/or attended training with many well-known companies including Vidal Sassoon, Toni and Guy, Jacque Dessange, Logics, Matrix, Redken, Schwarzkopf and Aveda, Scruples, Keratin Complex, Goldwell, L’Oreal Professional, KMS, Moroaccanoil, Colorproof and now Keune. He was also an educator/trainer for Keratin Complex Smoothing Systems.
In addition to his passion for the salon industry, Rob loves giving back to the community and brings his unique energy, resources and ideas to organizations and causes on a local, as well as a global level. He proudly supports the St. Louis Crisis Nursery and has served on the board of Friends of the Rainforest of Costa Rica.
The menu of services at Govero will be expanding to include spray tans, Botox and fillers, threading, and body contouring in their treatment rooms.
