Graivier Center

Meet the lovely Brandi Runyan, age 39, and her beautiful mother Connie, 64. Their skincare is an important part of their daily routine, and it shows. They also visit The Graivier Center regularly for help with the glow. We caught up with them during this very busy month, as they plan for Brandi's wedding. Congratulations, Runyans!

While you're naturally beautiful, inside and out, what is your go-to daily skincare regime? Feel free to mention specific products and how you found them.

Brandi: My beautiful mother taught me early on to take care of my skin, especially moisturizing around the eye area. An ounce of prevention is how she viewed it and let’s face it, who wouldn’t take her advice. I use Revisions Nectifirm on my neck and decolletage daily. I was first introduced to Revisions at The Graivier Center. I started to experience adult acne in my 30s so I began to make drastic changes in my diet and I am very strict about the products and makeup I use. I drink collagen every day and feel that has made a big difference in the appearance of my skin.

Connie: As I age my skincare routine changes. In my early years, it was Dove soap and moisturizer. Now my list of lotions and potions has changed. I start out with a mild facial cleaner, an anti-aging serum and my new favorite I was introduced to a few weeks ago by Katie at Dr. Graiviers: a J Harper product, Collagen Peptide Cream. My morning routine always includes sunscreen.

Finding professionals to help with wellness is so smart. Why/when did you first visit The Graivier Center and what was your first treatment or service?

Brandi: I had my first treatment at the Graivier Center in 2015, I believe. Katy (who is fantastic) did an IPL treatment on me to help with sun damage and discoloration on my face. My mother was a client so I was able to see firsthand the benefits of the treatments she was receiving. After the first treatment, you are hooked.

Connie:  I started with the Graivier Center several years ago. I had a friend that never seemed to age. She never had that “I had work done” look but she looked as if she was always fresh and well-rested. I finally had to ask, “What is your secret?”  I think my first treatment was a facial and I have been looking to the Graivier Center for guidance ever since. I always thought I would be one of those people who “mature gracefully". I have turned out to be one that goes kicking and screaming.

What might other mothers and daughters be surprised to know about what happens at The Graivier Center?

Brandi: The Graivier Center offers a clean, professional, and private experience. Pam is always so helpful. The staff listens to your concerns and provides a customized plan for you. It is not a one-treatment-fits-all feeling.

Your family is celebrating a very special wedding. Congratulations! What is your favorite facial before a special occasion?

Brandi: I spoke with Katy about a month before our wedding. Trying to plan a wedding during a pandemic brings many challenges and playing catch up on skin treatments is one of them. Katy advised me honestly on the best options given the timing. We decided that a hydrafacial followed by dermaplane the week of the wedding would be the best option for me. I am acne prone, so Caroline was able to customize the treatment for me. Let me just say I LOVED it!  My skin felt so clean and refreshed. The dermaplane allowed for my make up to go on flawlessly for the big day.

Connie: Brandi is getting married on April 10. Preparing for a wedding in a pandemic is a challenge in many aspects. The Gravier Center walked us through what would be the best treatments for us to have which would provide the best results in the short time we had before the wedding. They are so knowledgeable about things that work the best for your skin type and your lifestyle. They held my hand and guided me to my best options at this time. I had a photo facial and my brows microbladed. My favorite thing is a chemical peel.

Joe and Brandi live in Alpharetta with their two boys. I grew up here, but moved back to the Alpharetta area about four years ago. I am currently working as the Regional Director of OD Recruitment for a large vision company. Connie has lived for the last 8 years in Crabapple with her husband John.
