A few minutes with.... Grant Phelan

The Man with the Plan

"Great food, phenomenal service and to create an incredible dining experience." These are the goals Grant Phelan has for himself and his team at every Phelan Family Brands restaurant.

Raised here since he was 12 years old, Grant loves Naples.  He is so excited by the opportunity in front of him with the recent acquisition of Yabba's Island Grill, Chops City Grill, and Pazzo Cucina Italiana on 5th Avenue South.

Grant praised former Culinary Concepts of Naples owner Skip Quillen saying, "He's a legend and iconic restauranteur in Southwest Florida. He assembled the best culinary team I've seen in my 30+ years in the hospitality business. Chef Jason Mattozzi of Chops Grill in Naples is so talented, and he will be overseeing the culinary operations in all three concepts on 5th Avenue.

Replacing the golden location of Yabba's will be Keewaydin's on 5th Avenue, an upscale casual seafood concept with a raw bar.  They've completely reimagined the decor of the restaurant, with a major focus on the inside/outside bar area.

Grant believes that the Chops City Grill is the "best steakhouse" in SWFL.  He believes that Chops "grew expensive" over the years, and is looking forward to reintroducing a "price point friendly" menu November 1st. Until then, you can visit Chops in Naples and Bonita Springs, and take advantage of the Locals Discount of 40% off until October 31st.  Good Luck, 5th Avenue Chops has had a line out the door since announcing the special deal this summer.

Grant does not plan on changing much at the beloved location of Pazzo Cucina Italiana.  He will be celebrating its rich history by bringing back so old favorites from the past, Best of Pazzo.
